Fortnitemares is officially back in the latest Fortnite Battle Royale v26.30 update! With Fortnitemares 2023, there will be new and returning activities! Epic Games just shared that the limited-time experience, Horde Rush, will be available until November 3, 2023, at 2:00 AM Eastern Time.
Not only that, there will be a few more things to do in Fortnite to celebrate Halloween this month. Here is a complete list of Fortnitemare 2023 details from Epic Games’ press release:
- Fortnitemares Quests & Rewards: The Candy’s not the only treat during Fortnitemares 2023. Complete Fortnitemares Quests for in-game rewards! Completing individual Fortnitemares Quests will earn you XP, while completing certain amounts will earn you new, eerie Locker items. Quests will progressively become available over the course of Fortnitemares and can be completed until November 3, 2023.
- Horde Rush: Horde Rush returns! Until Fortnitemares 2023 ends, access Horde Rush via Discover to take down hordes of monsters, collect score multipliers, earn combos, survive at different locations, and defeat the final boss in teams to earn XP and new cosmetic items. Horde Rush also has its own set of Quests, which will be available until November 3, 2023.
- High Stakes Weaponry: Fortnitemares 2023 brings new and unvaulted weapons like the Wood Stake Shotgun, Thorne’s Vampiric Blade, Pumpkin Launcher, Witch Broom, and more. Have a sweet time in battle with unvaulted Candy Corn, Pepper Mints, Hop Drops, and Jelly Beans by looking in Candy Buckets, ringing doorbells, defeating guards, or taking down bosses.
- Frightful ‘Fits: New and returning Outfits will haunt the Item Shop during Fortnitemares 2023! New Outfits include Disney’s Jack Skellington, Michael Myers, and Alan Wake.
Here are a few notes from the Fortnite development team regarding v26.30:
Game Time, Icy Slide, and Rushing Reload Reality Augments is back.
The “Quick Weapon” action has been added to Fortnite’s Controller Options. When the feature is enabled, the “Next Weapon” button will be replaced by “Quick Weapon”. When you press the Quick Weapon button, this will equip your primary item.
Furthermore, in competitive modes, the following weapons will not be included in tournaments:
- Wood Stake Shotgun
- Thorne’s Vampiric Blade
- Pumpkin Launcher
- Witch Broom
- Candy
In addition, the following Reality Augments are not available for tournaments:
- Game Time
- Icy Slide
- Rushing Reload
Fortnite Battle Royale v28.00 Update Details
On top of the v26.30 patch notes, the upcoming Fortnite Battle Royale v28.00 update will end the support for OS9 on Android devices, which means Fortnite will be unplayable until users update their Android devices to OS10.
Players are advised to make use of Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and Amazon Luna as alternatives if they can’t upgrade to OS10.
