There are a few characters in Genshin Impact that need to use Silk Flowers in order to ascend to the next 10 levels. The higher levels they get, the more Silk Flowers they will need once they hit the cap. There is also a feature in the game that also needs this particular material to create another type of material. Here is how to get Silk Flowers in Genshin Impact and how you can use it.
The Silk Flower is a material that you can gather in Genshin Impact and it can only be found in one particular region of Teyvat: Liyue. Here is how the game describes the Silk Flower:
Category: Specialty
Detail: A crimson flower that blooms like the rainbow clouds in Liyue. It can be made into Silky-smooth fabric.
Silk Flower Locations
There are two general locations where you can farm Silk Flower in the region Liyue. These areas are Wangshu Inn and Yujing Terrace in Liyue Harbor. If you have already unlocked Liyue Harbor then it would be best to harvest there since it is within the vicinity of where you would spawn most of the time and there are many facilities nearby.
Note: Silk Flower plants can regenerate the Silk Flowers again after two days.
Wangshu Inn Silk Flower Locations
Nearby Wangshu Inn, there are about seven Silk Flower plants that you can harvest on. Each Silk Flower plant can yield two Silk Flowers, which means you can get 14 Silk Flowers per two days here.
Yujing Terrace Liyue Harbor Silk Flower Locations
At the Yujing Terrace in Liyue Harbor, there are also about seven Silk Flower plants that are scattered around the area. Again, each Silk Flower plant can yield two Silk Flowers, which will get your 14 Silk Flowers in this area per two days.
Vendors
There are two vendors that sell Silk Flowers, but not that much. Verr Goldet from Wangshu Inn and Ms. Bai from Qingce Village sell five Silk Flowers each. Once they are sold out, they will respawn their sales again every two days at 4 AM server time.
Teapot Realm Crop
You can actually grow Silk Flowers inside your Teapot Realm. You only need to buy A Path of Value: Luxuriant Glebe, which is a 4×4 field that can be added on the Teapot Realm. You also need to buy the Silk Flower seeds from the Teapot Spirit Tubby. Plant the seeds on the small field and wait for almost three days (70 hours). Just harvest them after it fully grows.
What are Silk Flowers used for?
Silk Flowers are materials used to ascend characters, and more. Read through to know what are the uses of Silk Flowers in Genshin Impact.
Character Ascension
One of them is for ascending a character to a new set of levels. Two Genshin Impact characters need Silk Flowers for ascending: Xingqiu and Hu Tao.
For Xingqiu, he will need three Silk Flowers for ascending when he reaches Level 20 and when he reaches Level 40, that amount increases to 10, and so on and so forth. He also needs other ascension materials like Varunada Lazurite, Damaged Mask, Cleansing Heart, and more. The higher the level, the variety of ascension materials changes.
Hu Tao, on the other hand, also uses the same amount of Silk Flowers for ascending. She needs three Silk Flowers for Level 20 and again increases the same material at Level 40 and so on. She also needs other ascension materials like Agnidus Agate, Whopperflower Nectar, and more.
Teapot Realm Material
Silk Flowers can also be used as materials for making Fabric. One Silk Flower can create 10 Fabrics. The latter is used to make other furniture and decorations inside your Teapot Realm. Several of them need Fabric, which is the reason why Silk Flowers are really needed for those who want to customize their realms to the fullest.
Transmute to Another Material
You can also transmute Silk Flowers with the Parametric Transformer to turn it into other materials, but this is highly not recommended unless you do not have any use for the Silk Flowers anymore.
