Genshin Impact Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Guide

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens is one of the new commissions that came along in the Genshin Impact 2.6 update. Players will get a commission from a girl named Asagiri, an Inazuman artist. In this commission, she will ask players to use the camera to take pictures of sceneries in different nations to draw inspirations from for her illustrations.

The details about this commission are based on the information that we got from the trailer and special program released so far. We will be updating this guide once new information becomes available.

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Eligibility

• Must be Adventure Rank 30 or above
• Must have completed the “Ritou Escape Plan” part of the Archon Quest: “Chapter II: Act I – The Immovable God and the Eternal Euthymia”

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Start Date and Event Duration

The event will run from April 1 2022 10:00 AM until April 11, 2022 03:59 AM.

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Gameplay

In Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens, players will be tasked to take photos or scenarios of certain places in the different regions. But it isn’t as easy as taking a quick snap of a photo and you’re done.

For each request, there is a particular Photography Target and there are certain pointers. These pointers should be fulfilled whenever a photo of the subject has to be taken to consider it as a complete photo. These can be seen by checking the Asagiri’s Notes in the Quest menu.

Selecting the request as an active mission will allow you to see all the requirements to meet before taking the picture. If a requirement is met, it will gain a check mark. Once all of the requirements have check marks, then you can go ahead and take your picture.

Meeting these pointers will then reward players with Primogems, Mora, and Hero’s Wit.

Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens Request Requirements

For every request, you will have to go to a specific spot in the region where the picture should be taken. This can be checked by going to the “Check Photo-taking Location” menu on the lower right corner of the screen within Asagiri’s Notes.

"Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens" is an event that requires you to take 14 selfies at various locations. You need to aim the camera at a certain direction and capture the moment of your attack/skill/burst/idle.
