Publisher Good Shepherd Entertainment has recently announced that the Ice Code Games developed the turn-based strategy sequel, Hard West 2, is going to release in early August of this year. The game delivers a classic Western world with a supernatural twist, where legends tell of an elusive ghost train with a bounty of gold for the taking.
Hard West 2 Release Date
Hard West 2 will launch for PC (via Steam and GOG) on August 04, 2022, for the price of $29.99/€24.99.
The latest Release Date trailer showcases some of the human and supernatural enemies players will encounter while exploring the Dark Heart of the Wild West. These include the curse-casting Shadow Blackeart and the toxin-barfing Demon Hellspawn that can take down an unsuspecting group of people.
The game is brought to life by the voice talents of:
- Kevin Conroy (Batman: The Animated Series)
- Darien Sills-Evans (Days Gone, League of Legends)
- Adam Gifford (The Colony, Batman: Hush)
The game also features a score by BAFTA Award-winning Jason Graves (Dead Space, Tomb Raider) and a story co-written by Origins Awards winner and New York Times bestselling author Matt Forbeck (Deadlands).

Conquer the Dark Frontier
Explore the deepest parts of the Wild West in a desperate bid to save your soul from the grasp of a gamble-happy demon. Wander around snow-covered peaks to dust-covered sun-baked valleys, and learn more about yourself and your posse.
Show Your Bravado
Pile up the kills to charge up your Bravado. Doing so replenishes your Action Points, allowing you to perform chain kills. Chain together kills of multiple foes to keep the streak going and build up your reputation as a legendary gunslinger.
Supercharged Posse
Explore the land to uncover a deck of mysterious cards that will grant your characters certain perks. Build up proper poker hands to get better perks but you’ll need to unlock them through higher trust levels. Kit your “friends” with better guns, explosives trinkets, or just give them a can of beans and a bottle of whiskey to keep their shooting accurately.
Unnatural Leader
The burden of responsibility rests on you as the leader. Order others around and ask them to perform tasks that’ll either gain their loyalty or make them question you as a leader. Choose carefully to get the maximum amount of loyalty. Poor choices will strain the resolve of the others to the cause.
Shootouts on the Move
This may be a turn-based game but entire fights take place in dynamically shifting environments. Take part in thrilling chases on horseback as well as anything that’ll force you to keep moving. Keep up with constantly changing win conditions under pressure and steal victory away as any resourceful thief would.
