How to unlock The Hunt for the Missing Pages Gryffindor House Exclusive Quest

To unlock The Hunt for the Missing Pages quest, you must first complete the Trials of Merlin main quest and reach level 5. This quest can only be done by students who got sorted in Gryffindor.

All the exclusive quests of the four houses will lead to the Jackdaw’s Rest main quest.

The Hunt for the Missing Pages Gryffindor House Exclusive Quest Walkthrough

After completing the required quest, head over to the Great Hall to find Nearly Headless Nick and start the quest.

Speak to Nearly Headless Nick

Speak to Nearly Headless Nick at the Great Hall to start the quest. He offers some help in finding the lost pages of your book.

Follow Sir Nicholas

Follow Sir Nicholas as he gets to the next destination. He will also ask for a small favor in exchange for his help; he’ll ask for you to get some rotten roast beef.

Tickle the Pear

To tickle the pear, simply approach the painting and press and hold the button until a doorknob will appear and the painting opens up.

Obtain rotten roast beef

Head towards the far right side of the room and you’ll find the rotten roast beef on top of a barrel. Feenky the house-elf will also appear and asks you to send her regards to Sir Nicholas.

Return to Sir Nicholas

Go back to Sir Nicholas and he will tell you to bring the rotten roast beef to Sir Patrick. Sir Nicholas will bring you over to the graveyard where Sir Patrick is. Sir Patrick will then tell you to go look for Richard Jackdaw’s head somewhere around the graveyard.

Play the Headless Hunt’s Game

Follow the marker and it will lead you to Sir Nestor. He will tell you that Richard Jackdaw’s head is somewhere within the pumpkins and you’ll have to find it by playing the Headless Hunt’s game.

Destroy the pumpkins to find the head

To play the game, you can simply attack the pumpkins to destroy them and check if Richard’s head is in them. You can use Revelio to locate which pumpkins have the head. You need to find Richard’s head five times in order to complete the game.

Talk to Richard Jackdaw

Once you’ve found Richard’s head five times, you can then talk to Richard himself. He then reveals that the pages you’re looking for is somewhere in a cave right where he died. He’ll meet you over at the edge of the Forbidden Forest once you’re ready. You’ll then complete the quest after the conversation.
