The Kiwibeard Error in Sea of Thieves prevents players from getting past the main menu and hop straight into their pirate adventure. If you’re eager to play with friends this error can be annoyingly persistent. So why does the Kiwibeard Error happen and how do you fix it in Sea of Thieves?

How to fix Kiwibeard Error in Sea of Thieves?

The only way to get past the Kiwibeard Error in Sea of Thieves is to keep trying to get into the game. There is no fix for the error because it means that the game’s servers are on maintenance.

We recommend coming back again later once Rare is finished with maintenance. You can check their official Twitter feed for updates and announcements about the current situation at hand. You’ll eventually be able to get into the game so long as you’re patient.

If this issue persists and there isn’t a maintenance currently going on, then you may need to restart your PC or console before trying again. Check to see if your Firewall isn’t blocking the game and if your router is connected to the internet. The only way to get past this error is to be persistent.

Why Does the Kiwibeard Error Happen in Sea of Thieves?

The Kiwibeard Error can happen for a number of reasons:

    • Sea of Thieves is currently under maintenance. This means that the servers are offline and it’s impossible to play the game due to no session being available.
    • Your Xbox has more than one gamertag signed in. You’ll have to sign out other accounts and then launch the game again from your account.
    • You may not be invited to participate in the Sea of Thieves scale test. You’ll need to register as an Xbox Insider before you can participate. Check your email and see if you got any invitations.
