How to Get Quadra Sport R-7 Charon in Cyberpunk 2077

Nothing says “street kid” more than the Cyberpunk 2077 Quadra Sport R-7 Charon. This muscle car has a unique feature that turns the hood into holographic flames once you hit a certain speed. This custom model can be all yours but you should be wary because it’s easily missable.

On this guide, I’ll show you how to get the Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon” in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty as one of your vehicles.

How to unlock the Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon” car

Your one chance to get the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon is in the “I’ve Seen Your Face Before” mission. In it, you’ll be asked to hack into the car however before doing so you should listen in on the conversation from the people inside three times. This will unlock the secret “Moving Heat” gig which rewards you with the Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon” upon completion.

The “I’ve Seen Your Face Before” quest is one of the main missions in the Phantom Liberty DLC. It’s your only chance to get the “Moving Heat” gig before it’s gone for good. Needless to say, you can’t get the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon unless you own the Phantom Liberty DLC.

To complete the “Moving Heat” secret mission, you’d have to work with Ashlay. Once you get the call from Ashlay, you’ll be directed to a facility to eliminate enemies there and track a vehicle. Upon arriving at the facility, take the elevator down to the initial room while maintaining an undetected status. This room harbors three cameras and five guards.

Use quickhacks to disable the cameras and identify the guards’ positions. I made use of a forklift to draw the attention of the guard near the shutter. Just make sure to use things in the vicinity to divert the focus of the other guards on the lower level’s right side. This strategy enabled me to eliminate each one discreetly without setting off any alarms.

A truck will pull up, and your objective is to climb into the container on the back and ride it through the checkpoint. Proceed through until you reach the parking lot where you’ll find the Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon”. Scan the room and disable the cameras. Exercise patience as there will be other cars going in and out of the parking lot.

From your concealed location inside the container, carefully take headshots, use a weapon with a silencer. Be thorough because if a patrolling guard discovers a body, you’ll need to reload a quick save. Once the guards are eliminated, hop into the Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon” and erase the data. Drive cautiously and attentively.

As you exit the garage, you’ll be halted by a guard. Wait for Ashlay to do something surprisingly useful by interfering with his scanner. With that done, you’re free to leave. Drive out of the facility without causing any accidents, and the Charon will become a part of your vehicle collection.

Moving Heat job Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

The Quadra Sport R-7 Charon isn’t all that different from its 580 variant. They’re both fast, slick, and meant to be driven by muscle car lovers. The one difference is that the Charon variant can change the decals of its hood once it hits a high enough speed. Instead of the yellow stripes, the hood will turn into holographic flames as if the car is on fire.

Can you get Quadra Sport R-7 Charon without doing the Moving Heat mission?

Unfortunately no, you need to finish the Moving Heat mission in order to get the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon vehicle. If you miss the conversation in I’ve Seen Your Face Before, there’s no way to get this vehicle anymore.

How to fix Quadra Sport R-7 Charon not spawning NPCs and traffic

If you’ve encountered a weird glitch that prevents NPCs and traffic from spawning in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty after getting the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon, there is a bug in the game that’s probably causing it. In this guide, we’ll explore some potential solutions to get people back on the streets:

    1. Transfer Game Files to SSD:
If you’re still playing on HDD, this may be the reason why NPCs aren’t spawning when you get the Quadra Sport R-7 “Charon.” Players who encounter this issue are said to be playing the game on HDD. A Solid State Drive is faster and is not required since the Phantom Liberty update. Thankfully Steam and GOG allows you to easily transfer game files to a different drive without having to download the game again.
    2. Roll Back to an Earlier Save:
Another option to get NPCs back on the streets is to load back to an earlier save before you got the Quadra Sport R-7 Charon. It’s not the best option if you progressed through the game a lot since then but if you notice that the NPCs are back then this is the fix you’re looking for.
    3. Wait for a Game Patch:
If all else fails, you’ll have to take a more patient approach. CD Projekt Red is confirmed to still be supporting Cyberpunk 2077 so you’ll just have to wait for the next hot fix.
