While Assassin’s Creed Mirage isn’t offering any early access, it is still possible to play the game ahead of time. As it stands, there’s a way to play Mirage early by taking advantage of its launch times for different regions.

Read on as we show you how to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage early using the New Zealand trick.

How to Play Assassin’s Creed Mirage Early Using New Zealand Trick

Due to Assassin’s Creed Mirage releasing on local time for consoles, it’s possible to use the New Zealand trick to play the game early. Change your console’s region to Auckland, Wellington to play Mirage 8 hours early of PT time. How you do this for each console is different.

You can use the New Zealand Trick on Xbox consoles by going to Settings > System > Time. Select UTC+12 Auckland, Wellington and then restart your console. You’ll be able to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage early on Xbox as soon as the game releases on New Zealand.

This is a bit more difficult on PlayStation consoles because you’ll first have to create a new account and set the region for that account to New Zealand. You’ll need a separate email address to register a new PlayStation account on a different region. You’ll then have to pre-order Assassin’s Creed Mirage on that account instead of your main one. This will let you play Mirage early on PlayStation once the game is out for New Zealand.

Assassin's Creed Mirage, City of Baghdad

Unfortunately using the New Zealand trick to play Assassin’s Creed Mirage early on PC isn’t possible. Unlike consoles, PC has different launch times for Mirage and isn’t set to local. Changing the region for your PC won’t do anything.

After changing your console’s region to New Zealand, you can play Mirage as early as 4 PM PT on October 4. This is 12 AM local time for New Zealand. That’s 8 hours earlier ahead of schedule.
