The hexagon puzzle is one of the puzzles that players will encounter in Resident Evil 4 Remake. This puzzle requires Leon to find its hidden pieces first, then have them arranged properly to uncover a valuable treasure.
Read ahead as we go through the Hexagon puzzle in Resident Evil 4 Remake and share some tips on how to solve it easily.
Where to find the Hexagon pieces
Before you can solve the puzzle, you will need to find three hexagon pieces that are scattered within the lake area. These will be needed later on for the puzzle.
The first piece can be found within a chest right across the Merchant of Chapter 3.
The second piece is in the north side of the Fish Farm. Jump into the water and go underneath the bridge to see a treasure chest that contains the piece.
The third piece is inside a small cave shrine northeast of the lake. You will need to solve the puzzle in order to get inside the next room where you can find the piece inside a briefcase.
How to solve the Hexagon puzzle
Once you have all three pieces, you can head over to the stone pedestal and insert the pieces in it.
The starting positions of the hexagons will be different from each save file, so there is not just one solution for this puzzle. However, we can share tips on how to make the puzzle make sense and easier to solve.
The puzzle has seven hexagons and you can only move three of them at a time. When these pieces are moved, their orientation also rotate. Take note of these so that you can plan ahead with how you want to move the pieces.
It can help if you start off with the middle piece first and try to connect one of the outer edge pieces to it properly. Then, move the connected pieces out of the way and try to move the rest of the pieces in their places.
A cheese tactic that you can do is to save and reload the game to take advantage of the shuffling of the board. Once you find an easy enough arrangement, you can then continue to solve the puzzle.
Once the puzzle is solved, it will open the door to reveal a Depraved Idol that can be sold to the Merchant for 15,000 pesetas.
