Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak release time is nearly here. The massive expansion is to release on June 30, 2022, for both Nintendo Switch and PC. It will be available in both standalone and digital versions, as well as a full package for the base game and the expansion.
The Subreak DLC and its many, many editions are already available for pre-order on PC (via Steam) It is worth noting that the game is treated as Monster Hunter Rise DLC so make sure you visit the store page if you can’t find it anywhere else.

How big is Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak?
It was announced during the March reveal that the Monster Hunter Sunbreak expansion will require 13 GB of storage space before the game can be installed.
How do you get Sunbreak in Monster Hunter Rise?
To access the Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak content, players need to complete the Hub 7★ Quest: Serpent Goddess of Thunder quest first. Only after you’ve done the Gathering Hub quest will players have access to the content. Of course, this doesn’t apply to cosmetics as you get those the moment you load in the DLC.
What time does the Monster Hunter Rise update come out?
More updates will be coming to Sunbreak players in the next months and intro 2023. They will be arriving in August, sometime this Fall, sometime this Winter, and sometime in 2023. Check back here with us when the announcements have been made.
As for the weekly event quest, they will continue as usual. They will release every Friday at 12:00 AM (Midnight) UTC. This is also around the same time you can expect the updates to come in.

Is Monster Hunter Rise available at midnight?
It was earlier announced that the Monster Hunter Rise Subreak release date is at the same time as the Nintendo Switch version. Ultimately this makes it so that PC players can enjoy the expansion together with Switch players regardless of the region they happen to reside in.
The earliest time that Sunbreak will be available on the Switch and PC will be at 12:00 AM (Midnight) in New Zealand (UTC +13:00), or 12:00 AM (Midnight) in Japan (UTC +9:00).
Players in countries near the UK will be able to have access to the expansion sometime between 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM (UTC +01:00).
Likewise, if the player is on the East Coast (USA), they will have access to it sometime between 4:00 AM to 5:00 AM (UTC −04:00). That’s 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM(UTC −07:00) on the West Coast (USA). This is all happening on June 29, 2022.
Do note that it is possible for server issues to occur, this is especially true when it comes to the Nintendo Switch. Players may need to keep an eye out on CAPCOM’s socials to get an update on the situation should these times pass and the game is not yet available.
