NBA 2K23 MyTeam Holiday Event challenges are here again! This year it looks like the event has taken a page from Zero Gravity from the last game’s season 6 event and given it a new Holiday makeover. It’s all good as long as there’s that mysterious Galaxy Opal at the end up for grabs.
In this NBA 2K23 MyTeam guide, we’ll go over the event details including the daily challenges you need to do in order to get the Galaxy Opal at the end of the event track.
How Does The Event Work?
Starting this December 13, the NBA MyTeam will be getting 16 new reward cards. At the very core of this event is the Happy Holidays Agendas, a collection of challenges with a player card attached to them. There are 15 cards to be earned in the collection and a 16th Galaxy Opal card up for grabs for completing them. This daily event starts now and ends on December 30 with a new card released every weekday.
And wouldn’t you know it? The first card to be released today is an 87 OVR Jaylen Brown.

This is a list of the event challenges you need to work towards in order to get the Galaxy Opal after 15 days. They’re going to be revealed daily as the event goes on. And don’t worry about missing a day or two with challenges. The challenge will stay up throughout the Holiday event, and will only be removed after the end of Season 3.
When does NBA 2K23 Season 3 end?
By our estimate from previous seasons, it is more than likely that NBA 2K23 Season 3 will end on January 13, 2023. That’s around 6 weeks from the start of the season.

The Rewards for these early-day cards are easy at first. It seems to be on par with previous events. You can play a fast pick-up game of 3 vs 3 to fulfill the win condition. But you can expect harder and more specialized challenges as the days go on. Also, the overall rating of each card is going to go up by the day as well. Amethyst and Diamond card win conditions might take a little while to do.
How to redeem mysterious Galaxy Opal?
From the main menu tab, you’ll want to head over to Collection. From the Season 3 page of the collection, there should be a space dedicated to all 15 cards. Once you have all of them, you can free redeem the mystery Galaxy Opal card.
We will do our best to update this article until all the challenges and their win condition have been revealed.
Update:
It has been announced on Twitter that the Galaxy Opal card at the end of the event is Bam Adebayo. Complete all the Holiday Event agendas to complete the collection to get first dibs on the card this coming Friday.
