Potions for the Ailing is one of the optional side quests in Nightingale where Ludivine Saint-Clair seeks assistance in making some curative potions to help the injured Realmwalkers. This is the first part of the quest chain for the peaceful route in obtaining the Elder Eoten Heart for the Gateway to The Watch quest. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to complete the Potions for the Ailing quest in Nightingale.
How to unlock the “Potions for the Ailing” quest
The Potions for the Ailing quest will be available as soon as you talk to Ludivine Saint-Clair during the Gateway to The Watch quest. Ludivine Saint-Clair can be found in her camp within the Swamp Antiquarian realm. Partaking in this quest is optional, but completing it will give out additional rewards, plus it leads to the quest that unlocks Holy Communion Achievement.
Do what you can for the injured Realmwalkers
Talk to Ludivine and she will ask you to help her create x3 Slight Curative Potions to give to the injured Realmwalkers. She will also give you the recipe for the Simple Alchemical Boiler. The potions can be crafted through the Simple Alchemical Boiler using the following materials for a single potion:
- x5 Essence Dust
- x1 T1 Swamp Fibre
- x1 Hide
- x1 Glass
To get T1 Swamp Fibre, equip a sickle with at least 10 power and look for trees with white leaves within the Swamp Antiquarian realm. Then, look for tall white grass around these trees that you can then cut with the sickle to obtain the T1 Swamp Fibre.
A Simple Alchemical Boiler can be crafted using the following materials:
- x4 Lumber
- x3 Ore
- x3 Twine
Once you have crafted the three Slight Curative Potions, hand them over to Ludivine to complete the quest. You will then be rewarded with the following items:
- x1 Enchantment (Recovery)
- x2 Abundance Infusion (Disease Resist)
- x3 Paint (Sunflower)
- x6 Hide (Tier 1 Haddocks’ Ox)
- x1 Amphibious Card
