How to Get the Oni Operator in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2

The Oni Operator in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 greets players with a visually striking appearance from the other Operators. You can instantly recognize his roots in Japanese culture, and it makes him look strangely out of place in the modern warfare as a samurai. This guide will show you how to get the Oni skin in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 for yourself.

How to Get the Oni Operator in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2?

You can get the Oni operator skin by pre-ordering Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 in the PlayStation Store. Any pre-order edition of Modern Warfare 2 will get you the exclusive rights to redeem this operator once the game releases.

The Oni Operator in Modern Warfare 2 is exclusive to PS4 and PS5 owners. Unfortunately, those who have pre-ordered the game on any other platform cannot get this operator. Despite Microsoft’s acquisition of Blizzard Activision, this makes the Oni a PlayStation exclusive.

Along with the Oni in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2, you’ll also get his exclusive weapon blueprint for his own assault rifle. This comes with the operator so you’ll get it as long as you pre-order the game on PlayStation consoles.

Who Is The Oni Operator in Modern Warfare 2?

Hiro “Oni” Watanabe is an operator in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 who is of Japanese descent. An old fashioned soldier who adheres to a warrior lifestyle as we see him carrying blades in modern combat. What strikes out about his appearance is is that silver Oni mask he wears which is where he got his nickname.

It’s doubtful that Oni is part of the main campaign of Modern Warfare 2 as he is a PlayStation exclusive. He’s most likely only a multiplayer character. Considering that Sony has offered their players several different Operators for the multiplayer aspect of the game, we can look forward to what else they have in store once the game comes out this October 28, 2022.
