Halloween may be over but Pokémon Go fans that are still up for more ghost-type will rejoice as it’s to hold the Día de Muertos event.
Día de Muertos is also known as the Day of the Dead, a holiday that’s observed in Mexico and other regions. So Niantic is hosting a special two day event for the occasion, so it’ll last from November 1 until November 2. The event is much smaller when compared to the Halloween event and this one focuses on Pokémon that are representative of flowers, incense, and more that tie into the holiday.
One of the highlights of the event is the Collection Challenge where players catch specific Pokémon that’ll eventually lead to an encounter with Shedinja,

Here’s the list of Pokémon that you’ll need to catch for the event as well as how to find them.

For these Pokémon to count towards the challenge, they need to be caught during event hours so players will have until Tuesday, November 2, 2021, at 8pm local time.
Completing the Collection Challenge will grant players one Poffin, one Incense, and an encounter with Shedinja.
As a side note, players will also be able to get a free event box that contains 20 Poké Balls and an Incense, and a free Día de Muertos T-shirt for your in-game avatars. Players will need to visit the shop in order to claim the free items.
