Sony has recently announced that it has now started to roll out the PS5 Cloud Game Streaming Beta to PS Plus Premium subscribers.
Yesterday, some users on ResetEra and Reddit started to post that they have received invitations to an exclusive beta for PS5 cloud streaming, which got them very excited. The email they received read, “We’re excited to unveil PS5 cloud streaming.” This confirms that players are now able to test cloud streaming PS5 titles.
ResetEra users shared screenshots of them trying out the feature and have shown the games that can be streamed up to 4K resolution. ArashiGames posted screenshots of God of War Ragnarok that they streamed at 2160p. They claimed that they did not run into any issues at all. Xbox Cloud Gaming would only offer streaming up to 1080p and 60fps.
No word yet when the PS5 Cloud Game Streaming service will be available outside beta tests. It is possible that it will be coming next year.
