CAPCOM has recently confirmed a new support feature for Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 titles getting upgraded from current gen to next-gen console platforms.
According to the game company, players who have save files of Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 on the PS4 and Xbox One can now transfer them to the upgraded versions of those games on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. They just need to be on the same accounts when they transfer them to the next-gen platforms. Players can continue their progress on those games on the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S and enjoy improved visuals, framerates, and more.
Aside from that, players who have purchased the DLCs of Resident Evil 7 Gold Edition will be transferred over as well without any hassle. There will be no need to purchase the same DLCs on the next-gen console platforms.
Earlier this month, CAPCOM revealed that RE 2, 3, and 7 will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S with visual enhancements. Players who had the PS4 and Xbox One versions will be able to get a digital upgrade at no additional cost.
Resident Evil 2, 3, and 7 are now available on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. They will also be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S later this year.
