Game publisher CAPCOM recently announced that Resident Evil 3 Remake has shipped at least 2 million copies globally on all platforms.
Resident Evil 3 Remake Gets Great Start
Despite the criticism by a few fans, RE3 Remake has raked in a lot of sales due to being one of the most anticipated titles for getting a remake touch. It shipped 2 million copies and almost 50 percent of that were full digital sales. The reason for digital version is, of course, the COVID-19 pandemic crisis, in which many gamers are now stuck at home due to the lockdown.
These results were achieved after five days after RE3 Remake launched. It did not overtake RE2 Remake though, which garnered 3 million copies in its first week on sale, but it did better still.
RE3 Remake is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
