SpongeBob can switch up his looks through a selection of costumes that players can unlock in SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake. These costumes range from all the different looks and variants that SpongeBob had throughout the many episodes of the series. Some of them can be unlocked just by playing through the story of the game, while some have to be unlocked by collecting a certain amount of gold doubloons.
All costumes, whether the ones included in the game or those that are included in the DLC, only change how SpongeBob looks and they don’t provide any other skills that would affect how SpongeBob moves in the game. The costumes in tiers 2 to 7 have to be unlocked by collecting certain amounts of doubloons per tier. Once a tier is unlocked, the costumes can be purchased for 500 jellies each.

These SpongeBob SquarePants: The Cosmic Shake DLC Costumes are unlocked upon purchasing the Costume Pack DLC (Comes free for PC/PS4/Xbox preorders, $9.99 USD for Nintendo Switch). These costumes are not required to get the Fashion Hunter trophy.
