Game studio Bloober Team recently announced the collaboration with voice actor Troy Baker, singer Mary Elizabeth McGlynn, and legendary composer Akira Yamaoka of Silent Hill fame for upcoming video game The Medium.
The third-person psychological horror video game will launch on Xbox Series and PC via Steam this coming holidays 2020. Baker will be the voice of The Maw, the main spirit world entity and antagonist in it. McGlynn has worked together with composer Yamaoka on the Silent Hill series and will be providing her vocals for the original soundtrack. These three individuals will be bringing their unique talent and passion from the previous work together for Bloober’s newest and ambitious project.
To celebrate this new collaboration, PC players can now download and listen to the first new track for the game by composer Yamaoka for free on Steam today.
Bloober also released the first episode of the Behind the Scenes series for the game. This video reveals a deeper look at several key insights about the game such as the main theme. They also discuss what it means to play as a medium through the main character Marianne, who can live and interact between the two worlds which are the real and spirit ones.
Pre-orders for The Medium are now open for Xbox Series X and PC via Steam for only $49.99. Getting it via Steam will offer players a complete set of the original soundtrack that features a dual score soundtrack by Yamaoka with Arkadiusz Reikowski, and The Art of The Medium as a digital artbook.
