Digimon Story: Time Stranger is expected to become one of the biggest Digimon games released this year. It will feature over 450 Digimons, and fans like me are excited about what new and exciting Digimons will be added to the game. In this article, there 10 Digimons that I wish to see in the new Digimon Story game and hope to play as.
Ragnaloardmon
RagnaLoardmon is a Digimon born from the DNA Digivolution of two Legend-Arms: Durandamon, the ultimate sword, and BryweLudramon, the ultimate shield. It is said to have been conceived when the DigiCores of the two Legend-Arms resonated with one another, an event brought on by the awakening of an evil being lurking deep within the Dark Area. Its main body, formed from the fusion of the two DigiCores on a higher plane, was made in the image of a warrior that both Durandamon and BryweLudramon imagined would be capable of wielding them.
In the previous Digimon Story games, only Durandamon was shown and could be playable. But with the upcoming new Time Stranger, fans might get a chance to DNA Digivolve and also use BryweLudramon to perform such feat and easily pierce your enemies with no problem.
Hexeblaumon
Hexeblaumon is a legendary Magic Knight Digimon that only those who master ice magic (an advanced programming language) are said to be able to Digivolve into. Rumor has it that Hexeblaumon helped protect other Digimon while the Digital World was in the midst of an ice age, then traveled to the extradimensional world of Witchelny. Skilled at techniques that involve manipulating cold, Hexeblaumon can create a variety of things from ice. These range from weapons like swords and hammers to restraints meant to hinder an enemy’s movement and even barriers to protect itself. When it comes to working with ice, he is a true master.
Debuting from Digimon Encounters, Hexeblaumon has become one of the fan favorites of many Digi-fans from the game, manga and even in the card game. Adding a frosty knight to one’s party shall create and chilling experience for many.

X-Antibody Digimons
In the movie Digimon X-evolution, the X-Antibody originated with Program X, a virus created by Yggdrasill[1] that it used in Project Ark to cull Digimon and end the overpopulation of the Old Digital World. However, powerful Digimon with strong survival instincts were able to survive by altering their Digicores to incorporate Program X itself. This created the X-Antibody, which made them resistant to being deleted by Program X. However, since the X-Antibody in a Digimon’s Digicore would expire if the Digimon continued to be exposed to Program X, this resulted in two major societal shifts: first, competing with each other to acquire more X-Antibodies, and second, an exodus of Digimon from the Old Digital World to the New Digital World, where Program X was not present.
If this feature was present in the new Digimon story game, there would be no amount of challenges that are worth clearing and will give a vast amount of new Digimons to try out.

More Ancient Spirit Digimons
In the last 2 Digimon Story games, MagnaGarurumon, KaiserGreymon, and all of their evolution lines were playable. In the lastest trailer of Digimon Story: Time Stranger, it has been confirmed that they will be returning. However, there is no other confirmation if the other spirits will be making their appearances. I am hoping to see the spirits of Loweemon, Mercurymon, Beetlemon, and others in the game and see if the requirements for Susanoomon will be more complex and worth accomplishing.

Omegamon Alter-S
Omegamon, or for most Digimon fans, Omnimon, is a staple legendary Digimon that has become popular among fans. What new players to Digimon franchise didn’t know is that there are variants of Omnimon that are more powerful than his base form. One is Omegamon Alter-S, a combination of two specific Digimons who evolve from Agumon and Gabumon, BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon. These Digimons were highly popular, especially during the rebooted version of Digimon Adventures. From there, its popularity rose to the point that gamers are hoping to use them and hope they can show off how powerful this new variant Omegamon will be.

Chronomon
In the popular Digimon game, Dusk and Dawn, Chronomon is an absolute beast. He has two modes and can be considered a favorable Digimon to have. In his Holy mode, he becomes a legendary Digimon that was born together with the Chrono Data through the YMIR Project, it can change into Holy Mode only when it super-evolves with the power of holy light. His 2nd mode, Destroy mode, It is evolved to this mode under the influence of an evil Tamer’s personality. Both modes were not only shown in Digimon Dusk and Dawn but were also shown in Digimon World DS and other gaming titles.
Pulsemon
This new Digimon is one of the most popular Digimons of all time. Considered to be one of the biggest mascots for the Vital Bracelet Digital Monster, Pulsemon is an unusual Digimon who screams the power of electricity. He digivolved under the influence of heartbeat waveform data stored in hospitals and gyms. It has a lively personality in that it treats anyone without discrimination. Pulsemon’s characteristic fringe is linked to its emotions and droops when it feels down. It is a cunning fighter who battles by capitalizing on its natural agility and moving around in the shape of a lightning bolt. In addition, many Digimon that are influenced by the vital data of others, like Pulsemon, improving their physical abilities and digivolving, have been discovered.

Volcanicdramon & Metallicdramon
These 2 iconic Digimons were featured in the webnovel Digimon Liberator. Volcanicdramon is a Digimon said to be a dragon that swims in magma; it is thought to live in a place so deep underground that not even Digimon that move about there can reach it. According to some researchers, there are a few who argue that it might have been Volcanicdramon that supported the World from deep beneath the ground ever since the Digital World was created. Should Volcanicdramon ever rise to the surface, it may be that some kind of crisis is occurring in the Digital World. Metallicdramon, however, is a Digimon that flies at the highest altitudes of the Digital World at the speed of light, even other flying Digimon cannot catch sight of it. According to one theory, it is said that if Metallicdramon flaps its wings from high in the sky, mysterious particles will be scattered that preserve the harmony of the Digital World. It seems that when Metallicdramon reduces its altitude so that it is visible, it is a sign that something is about to happen. These iconic Digimons can be considered legendary and have the potential to become a boss battle in the release of Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

Gammamon
Gammamon is one of the protagonists of the anime Digimon Ghost Game. He is one of the rare Digimons that have various Champion-level evolutions. It is a very unusual, young, white Digimon that was recently discovered. Digivolution to Gammamon is said to be linked to “digital signals that came from extragalactic space”. The two hard horns that grow from its brow are useful weapons for offense and defense. It can also fly for a short period with tiny wings on its back, making its body float. It rarely shows its emotions, but it seems that once you reach out to it, it will gradually become attached to you. Having this unexpected Digimon might be challenging, but who is to say that this cannot be worth looking forward to?

Gumdramon
OmegaShoutmon made his appearance in Digimon Story: Cybersleuth and quite suprising it only had 2 evolution states available. With the Time Stranger coming out, there is a possibility that not only Shoutmon will get other evolutions, but his apprentice, Gumdramon will make an appearance as well. Gumdramon is a Mini Dragon Digimon. It possesses a flexible Shippodzuchi (尻尾槌? lit. “Tail Hammer”) that can extend anywhere. Its body is also very soft and elastic, and it moves around dynamically using its whole body like a spring. It is also able to fly at its running speed with its tiny wings. Its personality is very mischievous, so it’s a showoff. In order to attract attention, it dives right in the middle of any kind of dangerous situation and rages around, not stopping until it stands out from everyone. Its potential is concealing its considerable, unfathomable power, but is inhibited by the “Kinkoji.”
These are all The Digimons that we expect to see in the upcoming new game, Digimon Time Stranger. The game will be released this year, 2025 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. More details about the game will be revealed soon.
