Kengo Tanashi as Link
Kengo Tanashi plays our protagonist Link in both the English and Japanese versions. Zelda games always had the tradition of the protagonist being mute, and Tears of the Kingdom isn’t any different, with players only being able to hear Link’s grunts and growls. Kengo Tanashi reprises his role as Link, but he also has more talkative roles in other games such as Scarlet Nexus, Digimon Survive, and Wild Hearts.
Patricia Summerfelt as Princess Zelda
Patricia Summerfelt voices the titular Princess Zelda in Tears of the Kingdom. Patricia also previously voiced the same character in Breath of the Wild, so it makes sense to recast her role again for the sequel. Patricia Summerfelt also has iconic roles in other video games such as Rainbow Six: Siege, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue, and Arknights, so you may recognize her.
Matthew Mercer as Ganondorf
Using a deep, raspy voice, Matthew Mercer is the great evil Ganondorf, who has emerged after a millennia to threaten Hyrule once again. You may recognize Matthew, as he’s the most famous name on this list. He has an extensive history as a voice actor, playing prominent roles in popular video games such as Persona 5, Overwatch, and more.
Jamie Mortellaro as Sidon
Jamie Mortellaro is the voice of Sidon, one of Link’s unflinching allies in Tears of the Kingdom. Jamie’s notable works from previous games are usually as the voice director, but this may be his most iconic role yet.
Elizabeth Maxwell as Riju
Elizabeth Maxwell is the voice behind Riju, another one of Link’s allies against Ganondorf in Tears of the Kingdom. Elizabeth had important roles in popular video games such as Genshin Impact, Persona 5, and even the recently released Honkai: Star Rail. Although Maxwell has done work for voice acting in video games, many of her previous works are from anime.
Joe Hernandez as Yunobo
Joe Hernandez is the one voicing Yunobo, a giant but friendly companion and a faithful ally against the evil wizard Ganondorf. Joe has had some minor roles in other video games, such as The Last of Us Part 2, The Callisto Protocol, and Octopath Traveler II.
Christina Vee as Tulin
Christina Vee voices Tulin, one of Link’s old friends from Breath of the Wild who’s now grown up. You may remember her as Velvet Crowe from Tales of Arise, which is such a stark contrast to this friendly character she’s voicing in Tears of the Kingdom. Christina was also the voice of Noel Vermillion from Blazblue and Bennett and Xingqiu from Genshin Impact.
Sean Chiplock as Teba
Sean Chiplock voices Teba, who is the father of Tulin and one of Link’s best allies against Ganondorf. Sean is one of the most recognizable voice actors on this list, as his roles in video games span quite a bit. You may recognize him from Persona 5, Danganronpa, the Final Fantasy VII remake, and more.
