    Rock Band 4 Confirmed For PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

    Harmonix has announced today that they will be releasing Rock Band 4 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this year.

    Harmonix has stated that the game will have backwards compatibility, Making your old Plastic Guitars and Drum sets playable upon release. Mad Catz will also have a full lineup of new controllers in their Band in a Box Bundle which includes a copy of the game, a Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller, a Wireless Drum Kit and a Microphone. Mad Catz will also provide a solo guitar bundled experience that comes with a copy of the game and a Wireless Fender Stratocaster Guitar Controller. Rock Band 4 will also support downloadable content from the last generation. Bringing in the 2000 songs that was released since 2007, you would be able to carry over the songs you already own with no additional charge.

    To celebrate the announcement of the game Harmonix is offering a free downloadable track. “I Still Believe,” recorded by UK-based songwriter Frank Turner for his fourth EP, Rock & Roll, is available now for download today, free of charge, on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Currently playable on Rock Band 3 and Rock Band Blitz this song will also carry over to Rock Band 4 when it will be released for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
