Respawn Entertainment has recently announced that it has made the painful decision to shut down the servers of Apex Legends Mobile soon.
According to the latest post on Respawn’s official Twitter account, there were certain factors beyond their control that made them decide to “sunset” Apex Legends Mobile. It prevented them from maintaining the high-quality experience and content that their players deserved. There could be other factors too but they are not sharing any more details about that.
The mobile game’s servers will be shut down on May 1, 2023 at 4 PM PDT. After that, the game will not be playable anymore. There is no word if Respawn will be refunding players who have paid for content in the game. Many of them are already complaining about refunds while Respawn is not responding with any replies for these people.
It has been almost a year already since Apex Legends Mobile launched. It was first released on May 17, 2022 for mobile devices and was the mobile version of the popular battle royale game Apex Legends. This version had characters exclusive to the mobile version too. There is also no word if these characters will be added to the original version of the game.
