Remnant 2: How to get Lifeless Heart

The Doe and the Ravager have always been at odds with each other. The Ravager would always try to hunt down the Doe but the Doe always manages to escape. The dynamic has since changed since the days of Remnant: From the Ashes. In Remnant 2, the Ravager has given in to the Root and awaits a certain someone to end his eternal nemesis. But that’s already known to all. What some don’t know though is that there are a couple of secrets tied to their respective crests and statues. In this article, we’ll go over what you need to do in order to get the Lifeless Heart relic.

The Lifeless Heart is a secret relic that has interesting properties, to say the least. It doesn’t take much effort to uncover it but you will need to know a few hidden interactions that some players won’t know right away.

How to get the Lifeless Heart in Remnant 2?

To get the Lifeless Heart relic, we need to start at the end. We first need to do the entire Ravager storyline to the end. Once we’re at the Ravager’s Lair, we are usually given the option to either help the Ravager or save the Doe. Here’s what you need to get the critical item, the Ravager’s Mark Amulet.

As you can see in the picture above, the way to obtain the amulet is by helping the Ravager fulfill his purpose and put the Doe down once and for all. You will get the Ravager’s Mark immediately after doing the act.

(This is also considered a full boss fight in Remnant 2. If you’re having a hard time getting the Only Human trophy/achievement. Killing the Doe will instantly unlock it for you.)

Next, you’ll want to go back to the World Crystal at the entrance of the Forbidden Grove. Just below the stairs before entering the forest biome, you’ll find this statue of the Ravager and the Doe.

Equip the Ravager’s Mark and step closer. The statue will come to life, showing a scene of the Ravager winning the conflict. A set of stairs will reveal themselves leading to a secret chamber.

In the altar at the back of the chamber, you’ll find the consumable item: the Fruit of Death. This harmless-looking fruit holds another secret inside. The problem is, it will involve multiple deaths to get to the core.

Add the consumable to your hotbar and then consume it. Your character will die after one bite into the deadly fruit. No need to worry though. It’s all part of the process. When you wake back up, you’ll be back at the World Crystal, ready to take another bite of death.

You’ll need to keep doing this three times in total. When you die for the third time, the Lifeless Heart will appear in your inventory.

    Lifeless Heart Details

“Though cold as stone, a faint tremor can be felt within – the barest whisper of a heart that will not, perhaps cannot, die.”

What sets the Lifeless Heart apart is its ability to double your current relic capacity. The drawback is that it can only heal 30 points of health over 0.5s. 30 health doesn’t amount to much but your focus should be on the double relic capacity.

Assuming you have fully upgraded your relic capacity through Wallace, you can pair this relic with the Tear of Kaeula ring, you can effectively increase your relic capacity to roughly 20. It’s kind of insane when you think about it. And all of that from one relic and one ring.
