Talking about Breath of the Wild – Life in the Ruins

First of all, I’d like to congratulate Blizzard and its team for Overwatch winning the game awards for game of the year. Now on to the main topic, Zelda.

Today in game awards, we were given a pretty nice snippet of a trailer for the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild titled Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Life in the Ruins and the trailer as dropped in quite the amount of intrigue among fans, in fact I’m quite intrigued myself.

Speculations have been surrounding the latest installment for a while now. From speculations to the famous Master Sword’s bad state up to the speculation as to where does the BotW fit in the timeline, and now it seems Nintendo doesn’t intend to stop teasing us and just keeps on adding to our ongoing line of speculations.

We’ve already seen how vast and vibrant Breath of the Wild is. This was Nintendo’s main focus when it showcased the game during E3, however we never saw even a small sign of a thriving civilization, and it seems that with the latest trailer, we instead saw it all in ruins. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a Zelda game where its world was pretty much devastated, I mean just look at Wind Waker, Hyrule was literally flooded, yet civilization survived on different islands, but when Nintendo dropped us the latest trailer, it seemed to be showcasing the current state of living in Hyrule in BotW.

In the trailer, it seems to tell us the story that lead to Hyrule’s state in BotW and it mirrors the current state of the people there, where it seems that they’re pretty displaced all over Hyrule. Another thing that the trailer gave us is that it seemed to tease us about two unknown female characters. Fans have given their speculation that both could be Zelda while some are saying that the first female was Zelda while the second one was Impa. Well whoever they are, despite the obvious hints, it got me pretty curious and excited for the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Nintendo’s official Youtube channel also showed us a Let’s Play video and you can see it and the trailer down below.
