Bandai Namco has officially released a new teaser and key visual for its new Gundam TV series, Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch From Mercury. The announcement was made through the show’s official website. Along with the teaser, the company has also provided a release window for the show – October 2022.
Additionally, the PROLOGUE episode is set to release this summer ahead of the show’s October debut.
What is Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury?
The anime Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury (or Kidou Senshi Gundam: Suisei no Majo) is the franchise’s first new show in seven years. It has also recently revealed the franchise’s first female protagonist.
The currently unnamed heroine will have her own mobile suit, the Gundam Aerial.

Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch of Mercury will start airing on MBS/TBS 28 stations at 5:00 PM Japan Standard Time (or 4:00 AM Eastern Time) every Sunday from October 2022.
“PROLOGUE” Episode for Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury
The “PROLOGUE” episode for Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury will release sometime this summer before the broadcast of the main anime series, which will start airing later in October.
It will be shown at the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -LINK THE UNIVERSE-, an event that will take place across venues such as the Gundam Factory at Yokohama and the Gundam Base Virtual World.
The GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -LINK THE UNIVERSE- event will link, for the first time, the life-size Gundam around the world, specifically the Moving Gundam in Yokohama, Kanagawa; the life-sized Unicorn Gundam in Odaiba, Tokyo; the lie-sized Freedom Gundam in Shanghai, China; and the life-sized Nu Gundam in Fukuoka.
The PROLOGUE will also release at other events all over the world. It will be shown at events of various scales bearing the name of GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE featuring Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury, which is scheduled to be held all over Japan, and other mediums.
Additional Mobile Suits Featured in the PROLOGUE
The images for two more mobile suits have also been part of the announcement. Gundam Lfrith and Beguir-Beu visuals have been revealed.
