Breakneck is the fourth mission of the Lightfall Campaign in Destiny 2. Following the almost disaster that happened with the fray against the Cabal, the Guardian now refocuses their efforts on helping the CloudArk from being destroyed by the Vex.
Read ahead as we go through the events of Breakneck and provide tips on how to complete the mission quickly.

Breakneck Objectives:
- Remove Vex from the Neptunian Reactor
- Enter the Reactor Complex

The recommended power for this mission is 1670. Head over to the marked location in Zephyr Concourse to initiate the mission.
Remove Vex from the Neptunian Reactor
From the quest banner, ride your Sparrow over to the Liming Harbor and defeat the Vex that have invaded the area.
Enter the Reactor Complex
Slowly make your way through the enemies to reach the central building in the harbor.
Clear Out the Vex
Inside the building are a bunch more Vex enemies, including a Wyvern, so play your corners well.
Find the Reactor Building
Once they have been defeated, follow the marker through the building and you will arrive at an elevator. Ride the elevator and just further ahead from it is another Strand Source. Get the Strand effect and use it to grapple the tangles to cross the gap and reach the other side.
Enter the Reactor Building
Once across, approach the door and bash it open. You then get the chance to place a rally banner for the next encounter.
An army of Vex will be spawning in the next room. Luckily, they are coming in from one end, so you can simply bombard their path with shots as they get funneled through the hallway. The next room will have another wave of enemies spawn. Defeat all of them, then loot the chest before bashing the next door.
Get to the Reactor
Another wave of enemies will be in the next room, including a Wyvern. Once they have been defeated, go to the right side from the entrance and break the vent panel to access the backrooms. Jump up the platforms and reach the next room.
You will find a Vex structure in the middle of the room. Shoot the very top part to destroy it. As soon as you break the structure, more enemies will spawn in. Defeat all of them, then look for an opening in the ceiling to find the next path. Navigate through the ceiling and find another panel that you can bash. You will then arrive at another section that has more enemies.
You’ll be facing one of the boss as well, but it will flee once it takes some damage. You will meet it every time you encounter a structure, giving you the opportunity to whittle its health down every time.
Clear out the enemies then destroy the next structure. Then, look for another vent to crawl through. Be careful not to step on the exposed wires in this vent. You will eventually reach another room with another structure. Destroy all the enemies and the structure to proceed.
Defeat the Vex Boss
In the next room, you will be facing against the mini boss. It should have low health by this point, so try to focus on it to defeat it once and for all.
Destroy the Vex Energy Parasites
After defeating the mini boss, look for the parasites that are attached to the power cables on the ceiling. Destroy all of them to proceed.
Approach the Terminal
Go to the reactor and reboot it. Afterwards, go to the corner of the room where you will find a chest with loot.
Find a Way Out of the Building
Climb the path just above the chest to proceed. Then just follow the path upwards to reach the next section.
Escape the Building
You will then be in the crossfire between the Cabal and the Vex. Defeat both sides then look for the vent panel that you can break on the higher level of the room.
Inside the vent, look up where you will find an enemy and a Strand Source. Use the Strand to be able to grapple your way through the vent.
Eliminate the Tormentors
You will have another special encounter in the next room. Place another rally banner by the entrance and then proceed to engage the enemies. There will be multiple Tormentors that will be firing its projectiles at you. Use the pillars as cover then deal with the weaker enemies first.
Escape the Building
After defeating both Tormentors, go through the next vent where you will find another Strand Source. Use it to traverse through the remaining rooms in the building until you reach the exit. You will be able to get another chest down at the platform where you land. After the short dialogue, the quest will be completed. Another cutscene will play showing Osiris pondering on the power of the Strand.
