Under Siege is the second mission of the Lightfall Campaign in Destiny 2. With the Shadow Legion now invading Neomuna, the activity has also made the Vex mobilize and join in the fray. Now it’s up to the Guardians and the Cloud Striders to keep the city from becoming an absolute warzone.
Read ahead as we go through the events of Under Siege and provide tips on how to complete the mission quickly.

Under Siege Objectives:
- Reach the Veil
- Find Shadow Legion Keycards
- Examine the Barrier
- Defend Ghost
- Lower the Second Barrier
- Reach the Veil
- Defeat Shadow Legion Commander
The recommended power for this mission is 1620. Head over to Striders’ Gate to initiate the mission.
Reach the Veil
Make your way through the streets of Neomuna while following the marker to the next area.
Find Shadow Legion Keycards
Once you reach the barricade, you’ll be facing off against more Shadow Legion enemies and even the Vex have started to mobilize. Eliminate the enemies or go past them, but you will need to look for the Shadow Legion Code Bearer and defeat it in order to get a Corrupted Keycard.
After picking up the first key, follow the marker to the next section up ahead to find the next Code Bearer. Defeat it, grab the key, then continue to the next section. Continue doing this until you have all the four keycards needed.
Examine the Barrier
Follow the next marker to reach the barrier. Then, hack the terminal nearby and let Ghost do its thing.
Defend Ghost
You will then have to defeat the next three waves that will be swarming in your location to protect Ghost while the barrier is being hacked. Once all three waves have been defeated, go inside the building.
Lower the Second Barrier
Shoot at the barrels near the next barrier to clear your path.
Reach the Veil
Continue following the marker inside the building until you reach the part where you can place a rally banner. Then, approach the disruptor and wait for the objective to get updated.
Defeat Shadow Legion Commander
You will then have a boss fight against Vul’ourn, Shadow Legion Supply Master. It will be fighting along with a lot of ads, so try not to get surrounded and move forward slowly. Once the boss has 25% health left, it will retreat further in and summon more allies. Once it has been defeated, all of the surviving enemies should also retreat. Grab the chest by the upper platform before proceeding.
A cutscene will then play where Ghost will get possessed by The Witness as it telepathically talks to Calus. The mission will then be completed after the cutscene.
