Destiny 2 Witch Queen Exotics to be Nerfed in Upcoming Patch

Nerf is happening to make them not overpowered anymore.

In a recent Twitter post by Bungie, two Destiny 2 Witch Queen Exotics that got overpowered in Crucible will be nerfed soon.

According to the developer, the Hunter arms Renewal Grasps and Titan helmet Loreley Splendor will be nerfed in the upcoming sandbox patch. They are quite overpowered in PvP with Renewal Grasps offering a lot of damage protection with the combination of other Stasis damage reducing fragments. It can turn a hunter into almost an unkillable character due to the high resistance it gives them in their own bubbles.

The Loreley Splendor got nerfed which turned its activation into requiring to spend the barrier as a Titan. There is still the sunspot activation on enemy damage, which is a balance problem with damage resist and damage increases. It needs to be reduced back further or else it will just get abused repetitively, which has apparently happened already.

No word if the nerf for these two exotics will be coming to PvE as well since the Renewal Grasps are strong for it. It is not broken at least, but it should not be nerfed on PvE because Hunters will need to have all the help they can get. The Loreley Splendor did get nerfed on PvE though, so it is possible it is happening for the other one too.
