Dragon's Dogma 2: Shadowed Prayers Quest Guide

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, Shadowed Prayers is a side quest where Menella asks for help in finding the assassin that is planning to assassinate Nadinia. Read ahead as we go through the steps on how to complete the Shadowed Prayers quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

How to unlock the Shadowed Prayers quest

To unlock the Shadowed Prayers quest, progress through the story until you travel to Battahl where you will meet up with Menella. Talk to Menella and you will be able to start the quest.

Where to find the assassin in Shadowed Prayers Quest dd2

Rest up until daytime and then go to the Flamebearer Palace. In there, Menella will introduce you to Ser Irmhild. She will also tell you that the ceremony is about to start and the assassin is within the crowd to assassinate Nadinia. You will be given the Bandit Bill of Arrest which contains the description of the assassin.

Apprehend the assassin in Shadowed Prayers Quest dd2

Go to the stairs where the worshippers are and look for the person who matches the description of having tied back hair and wounded right arm. This person can be found on the right side of the stairs (facing upwards) wearing dark blue robes; you can also try to hail him to make him talk, revealing his name as Herman. Once you have spotted the assassin, use the Grab action to apprehend him; make sure that the Hail option shows up to know that you have targeted him correctly for the grab. Spot him before Nadinia’s ceremony finishes or the assassin will make his move.

After apprehending the assassin, Menella, Irmhild, and Nadinia will thank you for your effort. You will then complete the quest and receive 3,500 XP, x5 Jasper, and 18,000 G.
