Fall has come so that means that we are nearing the end of the year. But this year has been another good year for anime and for its last spurt of the year we’re in for some treat, hopefully it’s not a trick though.
This season has a lot of anticipated sequels of some old and new anime. UQ Holder is making its anime debut and it’s the sequel of the Negima anime, hopefully it will follow the manga faithfully this time as opposed to the 1st two Negima anime. Then we have the 3rd season of everyone’s favorite cooking anime, Shoukogeki no Souma, then a new season for the monster infested New York anime with Kekkai Sensen & Beyond, and a ton more other sequels.
We also seem to have a reboot of an old anime with Kino no Tabi: The Beautiful World. Then we have some interesting sleepers that could prove to be worth our time with Ousama Game The Animation, Evil or Live, and a few more within the preview. We’ve also got ourselves a new shounen series with Black Clover so only time will tell if this is gonna be worth our while.
The format will be different this season compared to before to make things more concise. It will start with a personal but brief understanding of its premise and what the writer’s take on it will be going forward.

Blood Blockade Battlefront or Kekkai Sensen is back and I personally can’t wait to see more of this supernatural madhouse. The 1st season ended on a high note especially with a nearly one hour episode to top it off so expectations are high on what the new season will bring. Get ready for some wild adventures in New York and the demons and other monsters that live there since explosions and conflicts are a staple to everyday life in the city. Although I’m personally just gonna wait for the english dub of this due to the setting and I found the dub of last season to be a really good one.

UQ Holder!: Mahou Sensei Negima! 2

This is it! The sequel to Mahou Sensei Negima which is my 2nd favortie manga of all time is finally getting animated! UQ Holder follows Negi Springfield’s grandson, Touta Konoha. We’re now in the future where magic has finally been revealed and Touta is looking to realize his many dreams and meet new friends along the way. I have read the manga up to a certain point last year and this is guaranteed to have some of the best action scenes for those shounen fans. It would be wise to read the Mahou Sensei Negima manga though since you will get confused by who some characters are. Don’t watch the 2 anime adaptations of Negima because they diverged and was only an arc or two long. You need to read the manga as it was worth more than a hundred episodes if it ever got animated. This is personally the anime I have the highest expectations throughout the whole Fall season, plus immortals….

Umaru-chan is back! This was a surprise announcement but I welcome this new season a lot since I love seeing the antics of Umaru-chan and how her brother Taihei has to deal with them. This is a Slice of Life and comedy anime so just sit back and enjoy yourself as you watch Umaru-chan go from prim and proper in the public’s eye to Cola addicted gaming Otaku in her brother’s eye.

So Nazis managed to summon 13 Lance Warriors in the past and we’re now in modern day Japan seeing a kid in the hospital. Kind of a weird synopsis but anime has shown weirder. So all I can expect from this anime is some superpowered individuals probably going for a battle royal in a city which makes this just like the Fate Series. Hopefully we get to see some Nazis though. An interesting note for this anime is that it has a confirm 18 episodes which is extremely rare in anime and the only other one I have seen with this odd episode count would be Kokoro Connect.

This was bound to happen eventually, having an anime about playing the King’s game. The King’s game is a popular group dating game in Japan as far as my knowledge is concern and it involves picking numbers usually in popsicle sticks and whoever gets the King’s stick gets to order the numbers around to do whatever they want. Though in this case it seems that the King’s game is a setup for a murder thriller much like Danganronpa. This will definitely be interesting enough to keep on the radar so let’s all hope this can keep us on the edge of our seats just like any good thrilling show.

So this is a bit odd since this will probably be a remake of the 2003 hit anime of the same name minus “The Animated Series” in the title. Basically a girl named Kino is travelling the world with her motorcycle named Hermes and it is a journey of self-discovery and finding out about universal truths. Though I never got around to watching the original anime, this will be a good chance for me to get into it so let’s all hope that this adaptation will be as if not even more successful than the 1st one.

A TV series based on HoneyWorks’ Confession Executive Committee Love Series!? I’m sold. I love watching and listening to HoneyWorks’ music videos especially if it’s the love committee series. The series already has 2 movie adaptations that aired last year and now we’re getting a TV series so I can’t help but get really excited. It’s just a shame it’s only confirmed for 6 episodes but I’m still excited regardless. We’ll get to see couples and some love triangles or squares or even pentagons along the way so don’t go expecting any real plot or Shoujo level romance. This is just about how these kids go on to confess their love, become a couple, and what happens afterwards. There will also definitely be some music involved considering its origins.

The ever cool-headed Hoozuki is back and is ready to fix the dysfunctional system of hell again. Hoozuki is the chief deputy to the King of Hell, Lord Enma and he spends his days negotiating and micromanaging hell. The anime has a lot of east Asian mythological characters like those from Japanese legends and even features some characters from the Judeo-Christian hell since Hoozuki goes there to do business sometimes. It’s a dark humour anime which is sure to give us some laughs after 3 years of absence.

So a girl in an alternate world is caught in a war between soldiers who can turn into vampires and “manwolves” because she has a special bloodline that has very special powers. And this will all eventually be about ruling the world in the long run… talk about generic but I do love me some historical anime so this might still be worth checking out. Though I am hesitant since the studio TYPHOON GRAPHICS is a very new studio that made their debut this year and their other works seem to be about Rooms. So we’ll see how they go about animating an action oriented anime.

So civilization has just died and 2 girls are still living and breathing so they decide to go out and travel the world while looking for their next meal and some gas to survive. This is an interesting premise and this is definitely worth keeping an eye out since this has so much potential to show us a few things about the world, humanity and themselves. This probably has the same tone as Kino’s Journey so you fans might want to keep this under your radar since this might be a sleeper hit.

This stylish anime with an overly long name too long to memorize is about elementary school girls assigned to fight Vertex, a mysterious enemy attacking a god-tree attacking Shikoku, the only place on Earth still habitable by human beings. This really reminds me of a more serious and darker version of PrismaIllya.
