Garden for the Dead is among the various favors you can find in God of War Ragnarok. This is part of the series of side quests found in Vanaheim, which is needed to complete Svartalfheim’s Amulet Enchantment Set. How to Unlock the Garden for the Dead Favor?
The Garden for the Dead favor can be unlocked by speaking with the ghost Astrid in Vanaheim’s hidden Region called Noatun’s Garden, which is only accessible once you’ve completed the main path: The Reckoning.
Garden for the Dead Favor Walkthrough

- Destroy the Poison Totems
- Return to the Spirit
- Rewards:
- Kratos XP – 500
- Freya XP – 125

Destroy the Poison Totems
Your goal in Noatum’s Garden is to destroy three totems, each of which is associated with a fire vessel that you can break to destroy the totems.
The first totem can be found just behind Astrid. Aim through the structure’s hole on the right side and throw your axe .
The second Totem can be found northwest of the island. Stand in the left corner and find its fire vessel hiding behind the rocks.
You’ll have to scale the wall in the upper right corner of the island to destroy the last totem. Once at the top, you’ll want to be near the terrace so you may hurl your axe at the chain supporting the fire jug.
Return to the Spirit
Lastly, return and talk to Astrid. This will wrap up the Garden for the Dead favor and yield Svartalfheim’s Safety Amulet Enchantment.
