How to change your Appearance in Hogwarts Legacy

As time passes, your choice of appearance in Hogwarts Legacy may become bland and unappealing, but don’t fret. The game’s got your back, as it allows you to go back and customize things later on.

Character customization is interactive, but you’ll need to be careful since after the game’s story has begun, some of the personalization options you chose will no longer be available. As such, this guide will cover all you need to know to change your appearance in Hogwarts Legacy.

How to Change Character Appearance in Hogwarts Legacy

To change your character’s appearance, progress through the main story and unlock Hogsmeade. There, you can change your character’s appearance by visiting “Madam Snelling’s Tress Emporium,” the game’s version of a barbershop, where you can alter your hairstyle, eye color, skin tone, eyebrow shape, and even add scars.

Locate the shop (it should look like a pair of scissors) on the map screen, and then talk to Calliope Snelling, the shop’s owner, to begin the customization process. There is a 20-coin/gallon fee for each style adjustment, but otherwise, you’re free to experiment with whatever suits your fancy as long as you can afford it with no worries.

Note: Players are unable to change their voice tone, pitch, face shape, skin color, and dormitory assignment after the initial character customization.

How to Change Gear Appearance in Hogwarts Legacy

To change your gear’s appearance, simply open your gear menu and select an item to receive a prompt to change its appearance. Any time you like, at no extra fee, you can go through and swap out any of the given gear appearances with any other one from your collection of unlocked appearances.

Some of your items may only be worn with certain ensembles, so they are separated into “Collections” and “Other” in your inventory. You can change the appearance of your gear, but the bonuses it provides, such as increased attack power or defense, will remain the same regardless of the cosmetic changes you make. Completing missions and challenges, such as the Dueling Feats, will also net you new sets of gear.
