Special Weapons are weapons in Lies of P that can only be obtained through special means, often by trading a boss’ Ergo through a collector. unlike the normal weapons, special weapons are often a unit of weapon on their own and they require special materials to be strengthened and upgraded.

All Special Weapons in Lies of P and how to get them
Most of the Special Weapons in the game can be obtained by trading the special Ergo that bosses drop through Alidoro the Hound or Explorer Hugo. Getting all of these weapons will unlock the Special Weapon Collector Achievement.

How to get the Golden Lie Special Weapon
The Golden Lie Special Weapon will require you to play an always-lie playthrough and collect all the Records that can be found in the game. Check out our All Lies and Truths Choices guide to know which responses are needed for an always-lie run.
Once you reach the Under the Abyss Stargazer, do not talk to Geppetto yet and head back to Hotel Krat first. Go to Geppetto’s Study where you will find that the portrait’s nose has grown longer from all the lies that you have told.
Next, go down to the lobby and listen to all of the Records through the Gramophone. You will have to listen to all of the Record tracks completely, or at least listen to the ones that you haven’t completely listened to yet at this point. If done correctly, you should be able to interact with the portrait afterwards and obtain the Golden Lie Special Weapon.
How to get the Proof of Humanity Special Weapon
The Proof of Humanity can be obtained by exchanging the Nameless Puppet’s Ergo with Explorer Hugo. After the credits roll, head back to Hotel Krat and purchase the special weapon from Hugo. Make sure to do this before starting a new game plus playthrough.
