It’s no secret that JRPG fans are fond of longer games that could take weeks to complete and may be curious about the Octopath Traveler 2 game length. If you’re one of us and you love playing long games, then there may just be some good news in store for you. Like its predecessor, Octopath Traveler 2 features multiple different characters each with their own story so expect to be investing a lot of hours.

Just how long does it take to beat Octopath Traveler 2 and how many chapters are there for each character?

How long is Octopath Traveler 2?

It can be estimated that Octopath Traveler 2 will take between 60-70 hours to complete on average. Those looking to 100% the game will probably be spending more than 100 hours trying to get every achievement and complete each character route.

There are a similar amount of characters from the first Octopath Traveler game so it’s not too much of a stretch that the Octopath Traveler 2 game length isn’t too far off. You’ll be encouraged to do several playthroughs as there are eight different characters in the game, each with their own story, personality, and background.

Comparison to other JRPGs, Octopath Traveler 2 is a bit on the long side. There’s a decent amount of content you can get from the Octopath Traveler 2 main story and any side quest they offer.

You pick one you follow at the start of the game which is locked to your party, from there you’re free to travel around the world and meet the others who can join you in your journey.

You needn’t recruit everyone to your party, but it doesn’t hurt to have as many characters to explore as possible. You could start as another character on a clean slate on your second playthrough of Octopath Traveler 2.

That’s everything about the Octopath Traveler 2 game length. We hope this gave you an idea of how long it takes to beat this game.

Octopath Traveler is releasing on February 24, 2023 and will be available for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
