Pure quartz is one of the mineral resources in Palworld that is used to create materials for certain equipment in the game. Similar to sulfur, no furnace or assembly line can make this resource, and you’ll have to go out into the open world and venture into a freezing region inhabited by high-level pals just to get your hands on it. Read ahead as we go over the best locations to get and farm Pure Quartz in Palworld.
How to Get Pure Quartz
There are two methods to get Pure Quartz in Palworld, such as:
- Mining it from Mineral Deposits in the Astral Mountains and Frostbound Mountains region
- Dropped loot from defeating either Jetragon, Frostallion Noct, or Astegon
You can get Pure Quartz in Palworld by using a pickaxe to mine it from Pure Quartz Deposits that can be found in the snowy regions of the map, specifically the Astral Mountains and Frostbound Mountains.
Any pickaxe in the game will work, but a refined metal or metal pickaxe will be much efficient when mining pure quartz, so use that one if you can. Additionally, the cold environment can be deadly, so you’ll want to equip yourself with heat-resistant armor to avoid taking damage from freezing temperatures. Also traverse the areas via a flying mount to avoid multiple steep paths and hostile wild pals along the way.
Although Jetragon, Frostallion Noct, and Astegon can drop pure quartz when defeated, you might as well consider the fact that they are legendary high-level pals in the game, so going for this method to obtain the resource is not advisable and would cost you your time. And if you happen to encounter one, it’s better to capture them since they can be pretty efficient performing base duties.
Pure Quartz Farming Locations
During our playthrough, we’ve determined two of the best locations to farm for Pure quartz:
1. West of Unthawable Lake
The best and most accessible spot to farm pure quartz is located to the west of the Unthawable Lake Fast Travel Point in the Astral Mountains, with the coordinates (-210,246). The area contains 8-9 Pure Quartz deposits and a good place to build a base for easier transportation.
2. North of Free Pal Alliance Tower Entrance
The second best spot to farm pure quartz is located to the north of the Free Pal Alliance Tower in the Frostbound Mountains, with the coordinates (203,97). The area contains 5–6 pure quartz deposits with a convenient path since there are fewer wild pals and it’s a lot closer to the fast travel point.

Pure Quartz in mainly used for creating Circuit Boards. These cb’s are the required material for crafting the following Technologies:

- Electric Medicine Workbench

- Jetragon’s Missile Launcher
- Large Ceiling Lamp
- Large Mounted Lamp
- Mounted Missile Launcher
- Production Assembly Line II
- Refrigerator
- Sphere Assembly Line II
- Weapon Assembly Line II
Circuit boards can be unlocked in the Technology Menu using tech points once you reach player level 35, and they can be produced at a Production Assembly Line using 4 pure quartz and 2 polymer each.
