The Secret Menu Item is part of the puzzle that players will need to solve in order to complete the Normal Gym Challenge. The ultimate goal of any Pokémon Trainer is to travel to different towns and defeat Gym Leaders in order to obtain badges. However, you won’t be able to challenge this one first without passing a test.

What’s the Secret Menu Item in the Normal Gym Test?

In Medali city, players can participate in one of the gym challenges in order to face off against Larry, the Normal Gym Leader. You’ll have to “order the secret menu item” as part of a special test at the gym. You could just randomly order anything until you hit on the secret menu item, but that’s not how it works. Instead, you should seek regulars and battle trainers in the area for Clues about the order.

Where to Find Clues for the Secret Menu Item?

In order to learn the secret menu order, you must battle the trainers and use the information they tell you to find the other NPCs and locations involved.

As such, you can save yourself some time by going straight to the locations of the clues, which we have conveniently provided below:

Clue #1

The 1st clue is How the regulars season their dishes.

Players must head inside the Treasure Eatery and speak to an office worker wearing a black suit, he will then tell you that he likes Lemon.

Clue #2

The 2nd clue is Listen really closely to the Blue Bird Pokémon.

Go around the town and look for a guy with a blue bird on top of his head. Listen closely to what the bird will say and it will tell you the next clue, which is Meedyum.

Clue #3

The 3rd clue is The odd-one-out at one of the Ice Cream stands.

This one is fairly easy as players will need to head to the area of the city where there are ice creams stalls. Talk to one of them and that person will be selling Grilled Rice Balls alongside with the different ice cream flavors.

Clue #4

The last clue is A dark spot surrounded by stairs.

Go around the Amphitheater and trainers will find a half circle of stairs leading down to a grated doorway. Examine it and there will be a faint writing saying Fire Blast.

How to Order the Secret Menu Item? (Solution)

Head inside the Treasure Eatery and talk to the waiter to start the Medali Gym Test, then simply select all the clues in order:

Grilled Rice Balls
Medium Serving
Extra Crispy, Fire Blast Style
Lemon

The challenge will be completed and the office worker who was eating in the Treasure Eatery will reveal himself as the normal-type gym leader, Larry. Trainers can then challenge him for the gym badge.
