SD Gundam Battle Alliance Release Date and Gameplay Details Revealed

In a recent live stream event of Bandai Namco, the stream revealed a list of new Gundam game titles that will have updates on their development, and one of the games that were announced as the new SD Gundam game titled SD Gundam Battle Alliance.

Gameplay Details:

In SD Gundam Battle Alliance, the story takes place in G: Universe, a world where Gundam canon twists and turns in ways no one can predict. To correct this world’s distorted history, the player leads a 3-unit squadron consisting of Mobile Suits and pilots from across Gundam history – a true Battle Alliance.

Action and Stunning Visuals

Combo action with stunning visuals and dynamic animation – Indulge in a wide array of Mobile Suit weaponry to crush many foes! Control Mobile Suits portrayed with realistic weathering that showcases them as weapons of war as they tear across the battlefield with dynamic animations.

Transform Your Favorite Machine

Strange phenomena known as Breaks are twisting legendary moments from Gundam history, and you’re in charge to fix them – Experience Gundam history’s most famous scenes as you develop new Mobile Suits to add to your arsenal. Gather Capital and expansion parts to transform your favorite machine into the ultimate MS.

Enjoy Solo or With Friends

Tackle missions with friends in multiplayer! – Launch into battle with 2 partners to back you up. In multiplayer, you can play through the game with up to 2 other players in a 3-person team. Enjoy this new SD Gundam action RPG solo, or with friends.

DLC Set Announced

At the end of the video trailer of SD Gundam Battle Alliance, DLC sets were announced that will be included if one purchases the DELUXE edition of the game. The set will have the following:

Furthermore, a surprise DLC character and unit set was revealed by Bandai Namco as popular characters from the popular SD series, SD World Sangoku Soketsuden will make their appearance in the game. Popular units such as Liu Bei Unicorn Gundam, Cao Cao Wing Gundam, and Sun Jian Gundam Astray will make their debut in the gaming world. Not only that, SD BB Legend units, SD BB Shin Musha Gunda, SD BB Commando Gundam, and SD BB Knight Gundam will return to the gaming world of Gundam as new DLC characters as well.

Premium Sound Pack and Data

Also announced in the trailer is a Premium Sound Pack and Data set that holds over 35 anime songs and sounds in total. All ranging from the 1st Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam to the latest Gundam series, Iron-Blooded Orphans. Plus famous BGMs and songs from previous Gundam Games, such Gundam Breaker, Gundam Vs Extreme, and more were added to the data pack.

Release Date:

SD Gundam Battle Alliance will be released on August 25th, 2022, for the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC (via Steam). Fans can start preordering a copy of the game from their local game stores or digitally online.
