Slime Rancher 2 Teleporter

With such a large world to discover in Slime Rancher 2, players will inevitably find themselves wondering How to Fast Travel. Fortunately, teleporters are available early in the game and may be crafted and placed wherever you like. As such, this guide will show you how to make and use your very first fast travel device, so read on.

How to Fast Travel in Slime Rancher 2

The first fast travel option you’ll likely unlock during your playthrough is the Yellow Home Portal, but just like any other games, there are prerequisites you must fulfill.

A Yellow Home Portal could be fabricated on your fabricator once you obtain the Blueprint for it. You’ll need to access your Comm Station and have a chat with Viktor Humphries to get the Blueprint for this.

Now head down to The Conservatory’s basement where you’ll find the Fabricator, go to the Warp Tech Tab, and then choose the Yellow Home Portal.

Fabricating the Yellow Home Portal requires the following resources:

  • Newbucks x250
  • Cotton Plort x10
  • Jellystone x10
  • Deep Brine x10

However, before you can collect Jellystones and Deep Brines, you’ll need to upgrade your Resource Harvester, which requires the following resources:

  • 450 Newbucks
  • 10 Cotton Plort

You can easily get Cotton Plort from Cotton Slimes, and you can find these slimes in a large field full of Pink and Cotton Slimes not far west of the Conservatory. You can get 2 Cotton Plorts from a single Cotton Slime if you feed it “Water Lettuce,” but you can get 1 Cotton Plort just by feeding it any vegetable.

Once you have your Resource Harvester upgraded, look for grayish areas with large rocks on your map, or head left towards the Rainbow Fields to harvest Jellystones.

In the area around the Conservatory and the coast, you can find Deep Brines, which can be recognized as deposits that erupt in gushes of blue liquid.

With all the materials in hand, head back to your Fabricator and craft the Yellow Home Portal.

Gadget Mode must be activated before the Home Portal or any other Gadget can be placed (Press T on PC). Gadget Mode allows you to search for locations where you can set up your Gadgets. The greatest place to set it up is in a region remote from your base.

Finally, interact with the portal to fast travel to another location (Press E on PC). When used, it returns the device to your inventory and instantly teleports you to your base’s teleport portal.

Slime Rancher 2 is out now for the Xbox Series X|S and PC Via Steam. For more news about the game, visit their main website.
