System Shock Remake is the newest version of the 1994 game of the same name that has been remade with modern day graphics and software. It follows the story of an unnamed Hacker who is the only survivor of a space station that has been taken over by a rogue AI named SHODAN who is hellbent on destroying humanity and taking over the Earth.

Laser Mission
After waking up from a coma, the Hacker finds himself within the medical level of the Citadel Station. After being coerced by Edward Diego to remove SHODAN’s ethical restraints, the AI has now gone rogue and is planning to eliminate all life on Earth by firing the station’s laser on the planet. It’s up to the Hacker to stop the AI’s plans as the station gets slowly populated by mutants and cyborgs made by SHODAN. The main objective of this mission is to overload the laser to destroy it before it is made to fire off.
Virus Mission
After the laser plan fails, SHODAN proceeds to work on the backup plan of dispersing the virus that was being cultured within the groves of the station. This potent virus is a mutagen that will mutate any living organism that contracts it. In order to stop SHODAN from succeeding in this plan, the Hacker must find a way to jettison the groves into space before they are sent on a trajectory to Earth.
Antenna Mission
After getting the virus plan foiled by the Hacker, SHODAN decides to sabotage the Earth’s network infrastructure instead to massively cripple humanity’s communication. The Hacker needs to make sure that the AI will not be able to transmit anything back to Earth by destroying the station’s antennae.
Reactor Mission
Out of spite for foiling all of its plans, SHODAN decides to send the station on a course to crash on Earth. Before that happens, the Hacker must find a way to set off the station’s reactor to blow it up and find a way to escape back to Earth before it does.
Bridge Mission
Just one step ahead of the Hacker, SHODAN manages to sabotage the life pods, making the escape from the station impossible. The AI also plans to take shelter inside the station’s bridge and fly off into space to avoid the explosion. With time ticking down, the Hacker must rush towards the bridge to escape the explosion and finally stop SHODAN from becoming a bigger problem in the future.
