V Rising Gloomrot PVP Best Builds (2023) featured

With the V Rising Gloomrot update, you can make new deadly PVP builds that can dominate other players. There’s a lot more build diversity thanks to this new update, and you’ll spin your head trying to find the best ways to combat other players. Use this V Rising guide to look for the best Gloomrot PVP builds.

Note that you can only equip 2 basic skills, one travel, and one ultimate, so your options are going to be pretty limited. This is why you need to pick the best skills that are really effective against other players. Here are the V Rising Gloomrot best PVP builds that can help you dominate the competition, regardless of your weapon of choice.

V Rising Phantasm PVP Build

Skills:

  • Chaos Volley
  • Phantom Aegis
  • Travel: Veil of Illusion
  • Ultimate: Merciless Charge or Raging Tempest

Blood Type:

  • Scholar

Equipment:

  • Jewelry: Chaos Jewel

Here’s a build that’s best for one-on-one PVP fights. It relies on building stacks of Phantasm, which is the new illusion buff in the Gloomrot update that increases your chances of bypassing the cooldown for your magical abilities. Imagine putting your opponent on the ropes by continuously casting nonstop Chaos Volley combined with the Chaos Jewel, which adds damage to its second hit. Take your pick between the Merciless Charge or the Raging Tempest, which is good for damaging enemies quickly.

Phantom Aegis is a skill introduced in the Gloomrot update that we recommend taking on. It not only grants protection but also increases spell power, which makes your Chaos Volley even deadlier.

We recommend feeding on Scholar blood with this, as it increases your spell power, lowers your spell cooldowns, and can increase the chances of your spells being reset upon the next cast. It’s terrifyingly effective when you combine it with phantasm stacks, where you’ll constantly have a large chance to bypass the cooldown of your magical abilities. For reference, a max stack of Phantasm gives you a 20% chance to reset all magical abilities, and paring it with Scholar Blood increases the odds even more.

The reason why this Phantasm build is so effective is because of its ability to keep refreshing your magical abilities. Your opponent will have a hard time fighting you one-on-one when you don’t even need to get some breathing room for your cooldown.

V Rising Frost PVP Build

Skills:

  • Crystal Lance
  • Mosquito or Frost Barrier
  • Travel: Veil of Frost
  • Ultimate: Merciless Charge or Arctic Leap

Blood Type:

  • Scholar

Equipment:

  • Jewelry: Shard of the Frozen Crypt

Another great PVP build which involves taking full advantage of the new buffs in the Gloomrot update, which allows you to build a deadly Frost build backed up by powerful jewels.

With Frost Dash and Veil of Frost, you can inflict the longest freeze duration against other players. Previously, you’d need Ice Nova to make Crystal Lance proc on hit, but it isn’t necessary anymore as your opponent will freeze whether they’re chilled or not on hit. You can combine Crystal Lance with Mosquito, replacing your Frost Barrier, to help you line up your shot. The Merciless Charge and Raging Tempest are still the best ultimates we recommend here.

We still recommend feeding on Scholar blood with this, as this increases your spell power, lowers your spell cooldowns, and can increase the chances of your spells being reset upon the next cast. Also, get the Shard of the Frozen Crypt to increase your critical strike chances and damage while also increasing the power of your skills.

V Rising Lightning Curtain PVP Build

Skills:

  • Chaos Volley
  • Lightning Curtain
  • Travel: Veil of Illusion
  • Ultimate: Merciless Charge or Raging Tempest

Blood Type:

  • Scholar

Equipment:

  • Jewelry: Chaos Jewel

This build can seem overpowered due to how the new Lightning Curtain spell, which blocks all incoming enemy projectiles for three seconds while not blocking your own. It can also have certain effects depending on who passes through. Enemies that go through it are inflicted with static that periodically deals 25% magic damage. Allies that go through the Lightning Curtain get a buff that increases their movement speed by 40% for 3 seconds. This build formation entirely revolves around this skill.

It can be beneficial to cast Chaos Volley with the Chaos Jewel behind the Lightning Curtain. You can be extremely aggressive with this build as walking through the pillar gives you no disadvantages while having a safe place to retreat to. The new Gloomrot update also gives you new gems that make the Lightning Curtain more potent, such as giving the ability to slow down enemies who cross it.

V Rising Team Fights PVP Build

Skills:

  • Chaos Volley or Void
  • Lightning Curtain or Chaos Barrier
  • Travel: Polarity Shift
  • Ultimate: Merciless Charge or Raging Tempest

Blood Type:

  • Scholar

Equipment:

  • Jewelry: Chaos Jewel

This build is suited for team vs. team fights where you can effectively use skills to function with your team. Take advantage of supporting your team with Lightning Curtain, as they can be buffed going through it and projectiles won’t hit them when they retreat through. This is where Polarity Shift is good, as you can kidnap an enemy team member, put them behind the curtain, and have your team gang up on them. Or you can use Polarity Shift to save a teammate by pulling them to safety.

When it comes to offense, nothing is topping Chaos Volley so far, especially when paired with the Chaos Jewel. Use Chaos Barrier if you don’t have Lightning Curtain yet, which is a good substitute for protecting yourself. Equip Void for reliable crowd control that places orbs around the arena that will damage enemies upon touch if you prefer to play defensively compared to the sheer offensive abilities the Chaos Volley offers. Using the right gems to push these skills to their full potential is also an important consideration.

V Rising PVP Raid Build

Skills:

  • Unholy Magic Mosquito or Unholy Knights
  • Lightning Curtain or Phantom Aegis
  • Travel: Polarity Shift
  • Ultimate: Merciless Charge or Raging Tempest

Blood Type:

  • Scholar

Here’s the best build for when you’re raiding other players’ bases or defending your own. You’ll find Unholy Knights and Unholy Magic Mosquito to be useful summoning skills that can give you your own safe space to heal and gain some distance. You’ll find a lot of use with Polarity Shift to switch places with an enemy before the siege timer starts to gain a big advantage.

The Lightning Curtain is great for this build as it can buff you when you go through it, debuff enemies with static that periodically deals 25% magical damage, and block incoming projectiles. You can use Lightning Curtain to protect your golem if you’re attacking, and it can also be used to protect you against attackers if you’re defending, so you can focus on the golem.

If you don’t have Lightning Curtain yet, then you’ll also want Phantom Aegis. There’s a lot that can happen in raids, so having this skill is an extra advantage to protecting your team and weakening your enemies, whether you’re playing as the attacker or defender.
