To get this rare material, players must travel to Natsukodachi Isle and head north by the Dragon Altar or go around the Coral Salt Swamp to find Whipthrash Serpents. They are a type of Snake that has developed a method of flying in order to catch avian prey and will be the main source of dropping the Serpent Slough.
Keep in mind that keeping a Whipthrash serpent as a pet will tend to drop the serpent beard instead of the Slough, so there’s no other way but to kill them if you want to obtain the specific material.
