Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is about to be released soon, and as a game coming out as a Nintendo Switch exclusive, the game will have amiibo support to provide avid collectors of amiibo some additional content that they can enjoy in the game.

What amiibo figures are supported by Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

All existing amiibo figures can be scanned to get some in-game stuff in Xenoblade Chronicles 3, however one special amiibo from the franchise gives out a very special weapon skin: the Shulk amiibo figure.

The Shulk amiibo figure lets players use the Monado sword skin for the Swordfighter class

What does the Shulk amiibo give in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

Scanning the Shulk amiibo will allow players to use the Monado, Shulk’s weapon of choice, as a weapon skin for the Swordfighter Class. The skin is not just limited to Noah as once other heroes qualify for the Swordfighter class, they will be able to use the skin as well.

Once the skin is acquired, it can be applied to an eligible sword weapon through the Characters > Clothing menu, and by selecting the skin under Attachments. Take note that this is just a skin for aesthetic purposes and it grants no stat changes for the weapon.

What do other amiibo figures give in Xenoblade Chronicles 3?

All the other amiibo figures give out different Collectibles Sets that contain items such as:

  • Frangible Yam
  • Lucky Spice
  • Pink Asparagus
  • Tasty Sausage
  • Thousand Carrot

There are several sets that provide other reagents and collectibles, but they’re mostly consumables. Also, only three (3) amiibo figures can be scanned per day. Once a figure is scanned, all of the rewards will be dropped on the ground for the character to pick up.

Will there be amiibo figures of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 characters?

As of now, there are no announcements on whether there will be Xenoblade Chronicles 3 specific amiibo characters that will be sold in the market. We’re crossing our fingers that there will be some in the future.

We’ll get to see the Monado skin in action once Xenoblade Chronicles 3 comes out on the Nintendo Switch this July 29, 2022.
