Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy are incredibly dangerous creatures but they’re well prized for the ingredient they produce that turns you invisible. Although you can encounter trolls as minor boss fights in the main story there is a way to encounter trolls as if they were a regular enemy. Here’s a guide showing you where to find trolls in Hogwarts Legacy.

Where to find Trolls in Hogwarts Legacy?

To find trolls, look for Troll Lairs on your map that can be found in the Forbidden Forest, Feldcroft, Coast Cavern, Marunweem Lake, and Glagmar Coast regions in Hogwarts Legacy. Troll Lairs are marked by cave-like icons on your map that lead you to an area where a troll is resting.

Once you’re inside a Troll Lair, be prepared for a tough fight. Trolls are incredibly strong; the ones you find in free roam are more powerful that the ones you encounter in story quests. They can wipe out your health in a few hits if you’re underprepared.

There’s more to fighting trolls than just a way to level up as they do drop an important ingredient that is used for creating an important potion. If you think fighting trolls are too tough, there is another way to get this ingredient.

How to get Troll Bogeys in Hogwarts Legacy?

You can get Troll Bogeys by defeating trolls in Hogwarts Legacy or by purchasing them from J. Pippin’s Potion store in Hogsmeade for 100 Galleon.

Troll Bogeys are an important ingredient for creating invisibility potions. This is the main reason why you’d want to hunt down trolls for them. However you can purchase them at Hogsmeade if you have the extra Galleon to spare.

Spending 100 Galleon for Troll Bogeys may not sound like much but if you use the indivisibility potion a lot, you’re going to be spending for a lot which you can instead use for other ingredients. Which is why you probably want to defeat trolls instead for their Troll Bogeys if you’re strong enough.

Best Farm Spot for Infinite Troll Bogeys

The best spot to farm for infinite troll bogeys is in the Feldcroft region. The trolls in this area isn’t too strong and can be farmed for the ingredient to make the invisibility potion.

The trolls in Feldcroft will drop 5 Troll Bogeys and will respawn usually after four days so you’ll have to come back if you’ve defeated all of them already. You can return to Hogwarts and then fast forward the time to quickly farm Troll Bogeys to your hearts content.
