How to Romance Molly
Molly can be romanced by raising her Heart level, which is done by giving her gifts and triggering her Heart Events while picking the right options. Once her Heart Level is high enough, she’ll agree to marry you before Year One is over, which completes the romance with her.
You don’t need to witness all 5 of Molly’s Heart Events to marry her, but you do need at least 8 Hearts for her to agree to marry you. On Day 10 of Spring, you’ll receive a Blue Feather, which you can use to propose to Molly. The higher the Heart Level, the more chances there are that she’ll accept your marriage proposal. You can absolutely guarantee that Molly will say yes to marriage if you have 10 Hearts with her.
To keep track of how much Molly likes you, you can open the Resident Info menu or check her diary, which will show how many Heart Levels she currently has with you. You’ll only have until the end of Chapter 1 to romance Molly before you’re forced by the game to marry someone. If your Heart Level isn’t high enough by Day 10 of Winter, you can’t marry Molly.
Molly’s Schedule
Molly will wake up at 10 a.m. and stay in her bedroom at Bluebird Café until 11 a.m. Once her work shift starts, she can be found working at the counter of the café after leaving her room in the morning.
Between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., Molly will take a break from her work at Bluebird Café. You can usually find her in the kitchen with Lou. This is the best time to talk to her and give her gifts since she’s free for the duration.
Molly will go to her room at 12:30 a.m. She’ll stay up until 1:30 a.m., so you’ll have some time to talk to her.
Molly Heart Events
You have until Day 10 of Winter to see all of Molly’s Heart Events. These optional events can be triggered under the right conditions which will help you get closer to Molly.
Here are Molly’s Heart Events from what time they’ll start to where they trigger:
Heart Event 1
- Time: 6 PM
- Location: Outside the farmhouse when it’s not raining
- Requirements: 2 Heart Levels
While Takakura is talking with you, your dog can be heard barking at Molly. Pick the “Not at all” option when asked if she bothered you. Then ask her if she’s hurt.
Heart Event 2
- Time: 11 AM
- Location: Bluebird Café
- Requirements: 4 Heart Levels
When you see Molly exit the café, she’ll tell you about the plate she broke. Pick the “I’m here if you need to talk” to get closer to her.
Heart Event 3
- Time: Between 1 PM to 2 PM
- Location: Outside the farmhouse
- Requirements: 6 Heart Levels
You’ll meet Molly at the bridge who’s just returned from her friend’s wedding in the city. She’s upset and in order to comfort her pick the “You belong here in the valley” which she’ll like.
Heart Event 4
- Time: 6 PM
- Location: At the farm
- Requirements: 8 Heart Levels
Takakura and Molly arrive at your door asking for help dealing with a stalker following Molly. Pick the “No problem” option. It’ll be a bit later that you’ll learn that the stalker was Gavin.
Heart Event 5
- Time: From 1 PM to 10 PM
- Location: Bluebird Café
- Requirements: 9 Heart Levels
When you enter the Bluebird Café Molly will ask to meet in the back. She’ll confess that she’s been feeling absent minded that day and you can choose to go on a date with her. Afterwards pick the “If you’re okay with it, yeah” option to seal the deal.

Molly will not accept any gifts when she’s working with Gavin. You’ll have to wait until she’s alone or when she’s moving from counter to counter. As one of the Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life romance options, you have the chance to get closer to her beyond friendship.
Coins and Moonlight Ore can be gathered at the Dig Site. Some of the best gifts that you can give Molly involve food, like the Milk and Egg Soup. The Milk Soup recipe can be received at Gordy’s request on the very first day you arrive in Forgotten Valley. You only need Milk from the cow to make this. The recipe for Egg Soup can be received by talking to the Sprites enough times daily. You’ll only need an Egg to make this.
Story of Seasons: A Wonderful Life lets you give as many gifts as you want. However, you can’t give someone the same gift twice in a single day, so you’ll have to wait until tomorrow if you want to give Molly two Moonlight Ores, for example.
