How to Unlock Gunslinger in Remnant 2

You can unlock the Gunslinger archetype in Remnant 2 if you want to specialize around in using guns. The Gunslinger isn’t one of the starter archetypes, which means you have to unlock it through other means. This archetype is worth it for those who want to maximize their DPS and rain down bullets on the opposition. This guide will teach you how to unlock the Gunslinger archetype in Remnant 2.

How to Unlock the Gunslinger Archetype in Remnant 2?

Go talk to Mudtooth, whom you can find in Ward 13, and listen to his stories until he’s run out to unlock the Gunslinger archetype. After telling all the stories he can, Mudtooth will give you the Worn Cylinder, which you can then use to craft the Gunslinger’s Engram by visiting Wallace.

This isn’t a simple as it sounds. Mudtooth won’t tell you all of his stories in one sitting. You’ll have to progress through the main story until you’ve at least cleared two worlds before Mudtooth is willing to tell you all of his stories. Just keep coming back and talking to him until he gives you the Worn Cylinder. Along with this, Mudtooth will also give you the Gunslinger’s Charm and Gunslinger’s Ring, which are useful items for the archetype.

To become a Gunslinger, you need to equip that Engram. Go to the Archetype tab in the menu, and select it for either your primary or secondary slot. If you want the Prime Perk of the Gunslinger, which instantly reloads all of your guns and gives you infinite ammunition for 15 seconds, you have to make it your primary archetype.

    Crafting Gunslinger Engram

After getting the Worn Cylinder, you now need to craft it into an Engram. The only one who does that is Wallace, who is just upstairs, also in Ward 13. You’ll know where to find him, as he’s exactly where you first selected your starter archetype in Remnant 2. Besides the Worn Cylinder, you’ll also need other materials:

    • Worn Cylinder x1
    • Scraps x1000
    • Lumenite Crystals x10

Scraps are easy to find and function as the main currency of Remnant 2. Lumenite Crystals are much rarer and are acquired by defeating elite enemies. The Worn Cylinder can only be acquired by talking to Mudtooth, making it the most important material you need to become a Gunslinger.
