Marvel’s Avengers to Have Classic Villains on Main Game and Post-Launch

The Marvel’s Avengers is always comprised of certain heroes like Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, and others while also battling with classic villains that are riddled throughout its comic history. While the main villain in the upcoming video game is M.O.D.OK., there are actually other villains that will become trouble for the Avengers team.

In a recent round-robin interview with Crystal Dynamic’s Studio Head Scot Amos, he revealed what other villains to expect in the upcoming game.

Amos said that there will be other classic villains that the Avengers team will have to fight throughout the game. He said:

So there are villains in there, and yes, there will be opportunities for you. So you get to meet, playing through the beta, there’s Taskmaster as a villain at the front of the Golden Gate Bridge. There’s Abomination through the Olympia Archives as you get through that. That’s great on the campaign side, but I guarantee you those guys are going to show up again, because they’re like that. Villains often show up again and cause trouble, and the idea of being able to have such good juicy villains, and other ones that we haven’t even gone into yet.

Taskmaster and Abomination are the current villains that were revealed by Amos. He also added that on post-launch, there will be other villains added as well. There are several villains that the Avengers have fought in the past, but hopefully nothing too grand right off the bat. *cough* Thanos *cough* Maybe start off with the Skrulls or Baron Zemo.

Marvel’s Avengers will launch on Sept. 4 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PC, and Google Stadia. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X version will be available when the next-gen consoles get released.
