There are a number of zodiac-themed combination locks within the Derceto Manor in Alone in the Dark (2024), and unlocking them will reveal key items and clues that will help you progress through the campaign.

Opening all safes and locks will earn you the “You Can’t Keep Me Out!” Trophy, and if you’re stuck trying to figure out how to solve a certain zodiac lock puzzle in Derceto Manor, here’s what you need to do.

Perosi’s Journal

To open locks with zodiac symbols, you first have to get Perosi’s Journal in Room #6/Perosi’s Room during Chapter 2. This journal will show you a zodiac table that will have numbers that correspond to zodiac signs; to base them on the locks, you’ll need to refer to the numbers on the given clues and identify their associated symbols on the zodiac table, starting with Aquarius and working your way clockwise.

Lock #1 – Elisabetta Perosi’s Room/Room #6

The combination for the zodiac lock inside Perosi’s Room is 2-9-4, or ♓︎-♎︎-♉︎.

The answer can be determined using the individual picture frames and the ship portrait on the walls within the room. To begin, examine the picture frames by the door with rot on the backs and flip them over. From left to right, flip the second (Arges), third (Mosig), and sixth (Keith).

Now take a look at the ship painting; it features the same portraits of the members of the Astarte Artists’ Colony that were on display in the picture frames before. Remember the numbers that Arges (2), Mosig (9), and Keith (4). After you’ve figured out which numbers correspond to which names on the frame, you can use that information to find their place and corresponding number in the zodiac table.

The combination for the zodiac lock inside Cassandra’s Room is 2-5-7, or ♓︎-♊︎-♌︎.

The clues to the combination can be found on the medicine bottles inside Cassandra’s room. There are two missing bottles that you’ll need to find within Derceto. Once done, you need to rotate and rearrange the bottles in a specific order from left to right by connecting the rot lines, and it will eventually reveal the order of numbers that you need to reference in the zodiac table to get the lock solution.
