There are various Talisman Puzzles you can encounter on each chapter in Alone in the Dark (2024), and unlocking them will reveal key items and clues that will help you progress through the campaign. Read ahead as we detail all the codes and the process to solve each Talisman Puzzle to help you progress quickly through each objective.

Chapter 1
There is only 1 Talisman Puzzle you need to solve in chapter 1:
Miss Jackson’s Place
The code combination for the Talisman in Miss Jackson’s Place is 358:
- Top: 3
- Middle: 5
- Bottom: 8
This serves as the first Talisman puzzle that you’ll eventually encounter once you find Miss Jackson’s apartment during chapter 1, after you obtain Batiste’s keys. The clue can be found written on the “Talisman Schematics” in your inventory.
Chapter 2
There are 2 Talisman Puzzles you need to solve in chapter 2:
Astronomical Clock
The code combination for the Astronomical Clock Talisman puzzle is 643:
- Top: 6
- Middle: 4
- Bottom: 3
However, before you can unlock the Astronomical Clock puzzle, you must first piece together two broken plates to form the clock, you need to get the first missing plate by solving the zodiac lock inside Perosi’s room, and retrieve the second plate from the well in the kitchen garden. Once done, return to the clock and, using the picture below as a guide, put together the broken plates and re-arrange the puzzle:
After fixing the plate, the clock will then open up and you’ll find the clue for the talisman puzzle. Put the talisman on it and input 643 as the solution provided above.
The Boiler
The code combination for the Talisman puzzle in the Boiler is 975:
- Top: 9
- Middle: 7
- Bottom: 5
To unlock this puzzle, you must piece together the two broken plates for the boiler. Retrieve the first broken plate at the back of the boiler after you fix the valve, and to obtain the second broken plate, solve the puzzle in Cassandra’s room and unlock the display case. With both plate pieces on hand, go back to the boiler room and re-arrange the plates to match the picture below as a guide:
After finishing, more steam will come out of the boiler. Look at the numbers on the gauges: 9-7-5. Put these numbers on the dials to solve the Talisman Puzzle as the solution provided above.
Chapter 3
There is only 1 Talisman Puzzle you need to solve in chapter 3:
Pharaoh’s Coffin
The code combination for the Talisman puzzle in the Pharaoh’s Coffin is 258:
- Top: 2
- Middle: 5
- Bottom: 8
To solve this puzzle, interact with the paddle on the stage that displays a picture identical to the drawing in the Commonplace Book. Then, using the drawing in Perosi’s Journal as a guide, you can find the code 2-5-8 by comparing the zodiac signs to their number values and their placement on the paddle.
Chapter 4
There are 2 Talisman Puzzles you need to solve in chapter 4:
The broken statuette in the Attic
The code combination for the Talisman puzzle of the broken statuette in the Attic is 641:
- Top: 6
- Middle: 4
- Bottom: 1
Examine the container located in the attic’s far left corner. When you open it, you’ll see a Chthonian statuette and the numbers 6-4-1 etched into the box’s panels. Put together the worm-shaped sculpture by adding Jeremy’s Darkness that you got from the X-Ray inside the infirmary and rearranging them. After that, check the statuette once more, and enter 6-4-1 as the talisman’s code.
Dr. Gray’s Apartment
To figure out the correct orientation of the talisman, look at the markings on the bedroom floor. By aligning the notches of the large dial with those of the smaller ones, starting at the top and working your way down, you will get 0-0-0 as the code for the talisman.
