A new report suggests that highly anticipated video game sequel Beyond Good and Evil 2 has the old-gen versions cancelled.
Media outlet Italy 24 News has reported that the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game have been cancelled. It was revealed that among the platforms that were announced were only PS4, Xbox Series X/S, and PC without the PS4 and Xbox One among them.
With the continued silence from the developers, Ubisoft Montpellier, it is highly possible that the previously planned PS4 and Xbox One versions will now have to be shelved with the next-gen and PC versions moving forward. The media outlet surmised that it must have gotten tons of delays already without any announcements at all, and that there has been no communication from the developers only mean that they are now rethinking of their strategy.
It could be possible that the ones that the public has seen so far will now be different that have been in development.
Take this with a grain of salt for now. No official announcement from Ubisoft Montpellier to confirm that the Beyond Good and Evil 2 old-gen versions got cancelled.
